What I meant was that anyone could of made themselves a big fat target since to my knowledge they love to talk about security, which the act in itself reduces security slightly (or larger depending on what is said).
But I doubt anyone has truly acceptable security, so anyone probably could of been hacked but Sony was like "Come at me bro", as everyone seems to agree on.

I still wonder what kind of damage has been done to PSN to keep it down for so many days. I dont think the intruders messed up their systems that much. Also, I believe they should let members change their passwords and stuff, if it's possible.

Hmm I'm not too worried, I never used credit card to buy anything, only used psn cards and gift cards. Though I do feel kinda bad about what's going on :/

Ouch. I have a fake name, not my main email, not real age, but Sony is definitely in some big trouble. This is a big problem for a lot of people, as soon as this goes back up I'm changing email and password.

Luckily my PSN uses an inactive email address and my password is something I no longer use so I should be alright.

I didn't know anything about it until yesterday. I had been wondering why PSN was down... I wonder what was stolen from me... Kinda sucks, but I'm sure I'll live.

I must say you guys are all taking this to heart. I did not expect this to be honest. Mistakes happen you know as well as things you don't expect.
If this happened to MS and xbox 360 all of the xbox 360 fans would be like. I am done with MS and xbox. It seems that if a company like that makes a mistake all connections to them are just dropped. I am still going to use my psp and ps3 when this is all over, I mean they messed up big time but that doesn't mean I am done with them.

    I have to agree here.

Now, I'm not a PSN user, I don't even have a PS3 (though I'd certainly like one xD), so take my opinion for what you will, but give Sony a bit of credit. I think a week is a pretty good response time for such a large company, especially considering that they didn't know much about the nature of the attack for a while (assuming I've got my info right, which it may not be).

I also agree with libregkd, I doubt that they would lie now.

This could happen to any company, and maybe some of it, yes, was Sony's fault. But that's no reason to drop everything and exclaim that you're done with Sony.
