A few days in Sony time is more like a week or two. I hope it goes back up because I haven't been able to go on Netflix off of my PS3 in my room and it's stupid since everyone else in my family is using the other tv's. It's kinda funny how my mom was all worried about putting her credit card on PSN because she was worried that something would happen so she bought me a card instead when I went to buy the Black Ops First Strike maps and then this happened. In some respect it's kinda "good" for lack of a better word that this happened just so they could update their security. Sony took the risk of being cheap and was caught through this. They're a big enough company that they can handle themselves. Besides, their product is good so they'll be making the big bucks in no time.

You can still use Netflix. Just try to log in to, and it will say, PSN is under going matinence, then it'll ask you to log in again. Log in, and press circle when the message comes back up. It works for me.

As for the PSN being tested. I'm glad. I really want to see it come back up again. If only to see what Sony's going to be giving out.

Does anyone know what they'll be adding for the NA PSN, as in, the free stuff? Or are they just gonna provide the theft thing they talked about?

I've almost forgotten what Anon was DDoSing a8out. I remem8er that it was due to the Geohotz trial now, 8ut this whole security issue is actually forcing the issue away. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this is very 8ad for Anon, 8ecause now Sony has even more reason to increase security in the eyes of the pu8lic, so they've lost a lot of support. After all, who's going to argue to get OtherOS 8ack if it helps the 8ad, 8ad hackers who stole everyone's personal inform8ion and crashed the PSN?

Mm. I heard something about it not being Anonymous who tried to hack into the psn. I read in an article update on the situation that it had been done by an individual somewhere on the East Coast? I wanna say California, my memory is horrid atm. Something about a splintered group? Hmmm?

Anywho, c: can someone tell me more info on my on-topicness? v_v I will also say that Sony has lost a chunk of my respect.

I said it a while 8efore, 8ut I'll state it again. It's my understanding that the hacker was not Anonymous, nor was his motive to protest the Geohotz case. The hacker was pro8a8ly just an opportunist, looking to strike in the shadow of something 8igger. Anonymous has claimed that they have no rel8ion to the hacking, and that all they did was DDoS in protest.

I don't mean to sound stupid but where'd you see that? I real the link about the firmware update and there's nothing there about how much longer it'll take.

PSN is meant to be fully reinstated by the end of the month. That's where he got the 2 weeks from.
