Get Rockband since you want it, and for a second game, if you can, get Gears of War.

And then Ninja Gaiden 2, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.

Mmm...I'm usually into action games and stuff, but I'm open for everything.

But I heard Assassin's Creed was good too. But I guess Ninja Gaiden should be my second.

    Gaiden>>>>>Creed.

Creed is goo,d but it gets old really quick.. Like when you have to keep doing boring investigations over and over.

Assassin's Creed is good...but it got really boring for me.

    It was essentially like this:

    1. Ride your horsey to a new village
    2. Go see some informer
    3. Do a bunch of side-missions
    4. Stalk your target
    5. Chase after said target
    6. FINALLY assassinate target

Yeah...you don't have to wait too long to kill in Ninja Gaiden...

    Wow.
    Just wow.

186+ Well charted songs (Excluding blackened Solo A) , 4 instruemnts, reasonable timing window, pretty graphics, well organized online play w/ invitations

    vs.

100 or so songs, horribly charted (Excluding Impulse and some others), 2 instruments, insanely huge timing window, bad graphics with no invitations.

Rock Band. I can't stress how much of a disappointment Guitar Hero III was, but that will be a discussion for another time.

    I'll just say this:

    Rock Band's 130-ish Downloadable Songs > Guitar Hero III's 50-ish Downloadable Songs

    Or more specifically:

    130 songs * 4 parts = 520 parts (2 guitar, 1 drums, 1 vocals)

    As opposed to:

    50 songs * 2 part = 100 guitar parts

And Rock Band's Downloadable Songs are cheaper than Guitar Hero's.

    Hope that makes thing clearer.

if guitar hero 4 comes out already, get it.
They say they're gonna make drums for GH4.
(which is weird because it's Guitar Hero 4)

Go with the get your facts right.

    GH3 = neversoft + activision, the newcomers
Rock Band = Harmonix, the originals

And we get from 3 to 10 songs each week.

Oh yes, can't forget to mention the frequency of downloadable songs.

Guitar Hero III gets a pack of 3 every, what, month? (Aside from their recent overhaul in trying to catch up with the summer)

Rock Band gets a pack of 3 every week, even having 3 songs going down to $1 every week.

And I wouldn't really bother with "Guitar" Hero 4 once you get Rock Band. Over 100 songs is something you don't pass up, when you consider the fact that Guitar Hero 4 will undeniably have to reuse songs Rock Band already used.
