PS3 vs. Xbox 360

Hmm...so your saying the Xbox 360 is better because of:

A) Better online play.

B) Better and more exclusives.

Am I right?

I say 360, but I honestly can't sound biased as I don't have a PS3...

In terms of games library, the only thing the PS3 wins with against the 360 is Metal Gear Solid 4, but that's one game that's exclusive to it. The 360 has quite a few games to keep you entertained.

Also, Xbox Live is really great and worth the price. PS3 online is free, sure, but I've yet to hear anything remarkable about it.

1. 360 is not wireless correct.. but comes with a long enough ethernet cable it might as well. That's a bullshit arguement.

2. PS3 has the exact same amount of backwards compatibility has 360, both are very limited.

allows a console to play previous generation games
such as the xbox 360 allowing it to play xbox games
or the PS3 allowing it to play PS2 and PS1 games

whoa, whoa. Take it easy,we dont want to start arguing if which is the best. I just want to make sure if he does like to buy a Ps3, and besides, i have both of them.

It's something that has to do with playing Xbox games on the Xbox360 or Ps1/Ps2 games on the Ps3

 

well sony has actually been on top of there game (for once) with the software emulation
although if you choose the ps3 buy a 60 gig. it has both PS2 and PS3 hardware in it. which has super high compatibility (i own a crap load of ps2 games, the only errors i get out of them is normally sound glitches or slow frame rates for a few seconds)

 

I mean for 80gb since 60gb doesn't exist anymore..

dam, i never read those were cancelled. ohh well. if you do i still recommend looking for one first if you decide for a PS3. you can stll play PS2 ans PS1 games on the 80gigs emulation (which is actually fairly decent)
if your a photoshop fan then you'll love the PS3 theme maker thing you can do (i love it ;])
its basically you remaking how your PS3's home screen looks and sounds

is xbox live as fun as people say?
i honestly don't see anything different from the PS network besides the PS network being free.
i don't see how the message thing is important. most i've seen it do id get the other player shot while sending it ;P

 

CoD4, Gears, and Halo 3 are the best ATM besidess Rockband and GH3. Soon Too Human will be out though, along with Gears 2 and Left 4 Dead

 

Halo 3, or gears of war they're very famous right now and i think there will be many people joining and killing each other....

Actually, yes it is. There is a reason people say it's infinitely better, it's because it really is more conveiniant.

Well dont get a PS3 for its backwards compatibility since the only one left that can do that is the 80 gig and that one uses software emulation of the EE chip so it cant play all PS2 titles. You should probably get a 360 for the moment. The next set of really good PS3 exclusives wont be out for a while. Plus by then maybe they'll have came out with a new PS3 model.

 

IF you can afford it, be like me and get both.
I dont use XBL though, because most 360 games are either shooters, or stuff i dont really play that much.
I mainly got my 360 for GH2 with the DLC sine my ps2 copy broke, ME, and LO.
