Actually out of any company that gives the middle finger the most to there fans, its microsoft, as soon as 360 came out no new games for xbox, but look there still making ps2 games.

No. PS2 games are just being TRANSLATED to other countries, as far as I know, there are no new games comming out for the PS2 that are currently in development (IDK, I could be wrong). But why the hell would a company want to keep making games for an outdated console? It's a stupid business move.

 

Not quite. PS2 games are still selling well. You remember that last year that the PS2 sales topped that of the 360, the console is cheap to make and so are the games for it when compared to the production costs for the PS3. For a business it's a good move as it gives in a bit more revenue.

 

Not sure why people say 'Sony' ticked off its customer base when there have been great historic moments where Nintendo and Microsoft have done so too. Things happen. And not a one of the companies is perfect. Let's get over it and just get consoles and games we enjoy and stop the fanboy/fangurlism console wars already. I'm glad that there are people here who post up announcements for each of the consoles and games with links.

Haven't I already told you Sony isn't "top dog" right now? If anything, Microsoft is, possibly the Wii. PS3 JUST started doing well sales wise. I also told you that one game does not win a console war. period.

If FF XIII is even close to XII I say Sony is in the clear.

Also, keep in mind that FF XII had some pretty controversial staff and gameplay changes. So, I think the Japanese consumers trust Square-Enix quite a bit.

Added to the fact that Sony shut down one of the greatest gaming import businesses there was, Lik Sang, for the allmight sin of: selling the PSP! Oh no!

And as all of the above was happening, Sony also had to recall pretty much every laptop battery they've sold in the past year because of the teensy problem that, you know, they explode.

As well as when you bought a computer from Sony they had previously installed a "rootkit" on your computer which took away your ability to properly control your operating system, and when asked about it they said "Consumers don't know what a rootkit is, so why should they care?"

Keep in mind that all of this happened in the space of a few months, and you can see why people saw Sony as massive *******s

Microsoft doesn't control what 3rd parties choose to do with their platforms, Sony has not made any new PS2 games since God of War as they've abandoned the platform just like any other company when they release a next-generation console, it's 3rd parties who choose to still make games for the PS2
