PS3 outsells the Wii in Japan for a second week in a row...

The only ones that are sad are the fanboys or fangirls. Others either don't care or are happy to see it.

I agree. That was just spam and I don't get why people will go out of their way to -hate- a console they probably never even tried. The Wii and the PS3 are great consoles with merits for their own reasons and they both have some great games. Fanboys need to give it a rest. I'm personally glad to see that all of the consoles now are doing better so we keep the variety of games we can choose out there. It would suck to just have one console, as convenient as it would be, because then that company could refuse to market some great games and we'd miss out on all the variety.

 

A one console world would be utter disaster. The quality of games would hit the floor quicker than a nerd in boxing. D;
Without competition, businesses do not flourish, and while some people refuse to believe it, all three consoles are part of businesses that make decisions based on how they can get more money.

 

It was just a matter of time, just like the past generation console:Playstation always win (fortunately)

 

just wait til FFXIII and Kingdom Hearts games come out. The PS3 will kick but.

 

That is one of the most idiotic statements I've ever heard. Just because the PS3 is selling the best in ONE county for only two weeks does not make it the winning console you moron.

I don't know of any Kingdom Hearts games comming out for the PS3, did I miss something, or did you just pull that out of your ass?

Both of you need to realize that there is more to the competition than just sales and one or two games.

-2 weeks ago the Wii was named the most sucessful selling console in Australian history.

-In Japan the PS3 has only topped the Wii for two weeks, the PS3 sales in Japan for this week were a 18,000 unit drop compared to last weeks numbers (a result of the release of the 40GB model boosting sales), only beating the Wii by 3,000 units this week

I do admit that the Wii has slipped quite a bit in the sales in japan since it's weeks of selling 100,000 all the time, but I don't see why a sales boost for the PS3 as a result of them releasing a cheaper SKu constitutes saying the PS3 is "leading" against the Wii in Japan, when the PS3 has only had the benefit for 2 weeks

-UK numbers make up, on average, 30%-50% of Europe's total sales. Regardless, removing UK's sales figures from the European sales total and you have:

Wii: 83,000
PS3: 63,000

So, without the Wii's success in the UK...the Wii still tops the PS3 in Europe by 20,000 units? The regions where the PS3 seem to top the Wii are Spain and Italy, and a collection of smaller countries whose figures are grouped as "other europe"

2 weeks of a slight victory doesn't make them win ****. I can say that when FF13 comes up, PS3 will raise a small amount in sales. But right now, besides the 360, wii's getting their sales up pretty high.

I agree with the logic Muffin has. I'll remember to never argue with the dude when it comes to games and sales xD

Well this is cool, I want a PS3 for Christmas for Ratchet & Clank Future which is probably my favorite gaming series, and Resistance (I love alien shooters) and skate. And skate is just such a fun game to play.
