For what I know, the PS3 has a better graphic and has more functionalities. The XBox has more games instead and there's the possibility to play with downloaded games.
If it's a matter of economy, the XBox is the right one, since it coasts the half of the PS3. Now, it's already around in the best stores of technology a Blue-Ray disc reader, (The Blue-Ray is a new type of disc, very high quality) and it coasts about 200€. The PS3 is a console for videogames AND a Blue-Ray disc reader, the best in the world actually, so it coasts so much because you have to pay the price of the console and the price of the Blue-Ray reader. The XBox instead isn't a Blue-Ray reader, so it has a lower graphic, but you have to pay only the price of the console.
    So:

PS3: Less games than the XBox; more functionalities; Blue-Ray reader --> Better graphic; it coasts more than the XBox

XBox: More games than the PS3; Possibility to play with downloaded games; no Blue-Ray reader --> Lower graphic; it coasts less than the PS3

Pratically, you'll choose the best console for you if you know what you will do with it: If you're one who likes to play videogames and plays a lot, I suggest you to buy a XBox since you can play with downloaded games and it has more games than the PS3; Instead, if you're one who watches many movies and wants a high quality and doesn't need a console just to play, I suggest you to buy a PS3 since it's a Blue-Ray reader.

Ok, I hope that helped you to choose. ;)

....FFXIII is on the 360! And we have no word of KH3 existing. Not too mention the 360 has Infinite Undiscovery, Last Remnant, Lost Odyssey, MASS EFFECT, Two Worlds, Enchanted Arms, and one of my personal favs Tales of Vesperia.

    I hope you've got a lot of patience :D
Lower graphics? Have you even seen Gears of War 2, Halo 3, or Banjo and those are on a DVD not Bluray. Right now until some developer cracks the secret ingredient for the ps3 (if there even is one) the ps3 and 360 are right on par with graphics, and anybody who uses graphics as a means to justify their console purchase in my opinion is just being a fanboy no offense.

You have a point but Im also hooked to the PSN. I also love the free wifi. If I want to get on the Internet I'll use PS3/PSP. I think the Xbox 360 has the best online games because you have to pay. So owning both systems would be the best idea.

    PS3 or Xbox 360 ?
    Both :0.
360 for now and I have a ps3 for when something truly amazing comes out.
But if I had to choose one over the other the 360 would be my choice.

I don't think so. The PS3 games are Blue-Ray discs, so it means better graphics. Their graphic qualities are close, but the PS3 beats the XBox.
Then, about Halo 3 etc, it doesn't just depend on the console performances, it depends on the creators of the game.

Just because it's on a Bluray disc doesn't mean it automatically has better graphics. Look at Haze, the graphics are average at best and that was an exclusive made on your pretty little Bluray disc. A developer can make a gorgeous game on a DVD just fine, Bluray just has more space on it but it doesn't mean a developer is going to bother to fill it up graphic wise.
