I say PS3 because it has better games and graphics, and I can't say no to free wifi and online gaming.

    Look at exclusives.

If you want to buy a console for its ability to play video games, then you look at the video games, not the console. You're not going to give a crap about Sony's blu-ray if you're head over heels about Gears of War or Fable. Likewise, you're not going care about NXE or Netflix if you've been starving yourself silly to save up for Metal Gear Solid 4 and LittleBigPlanet because they look 'oh so cool'.

I love how you, Libre, Crono and myself give the only non-console war answers. That actually says alot about this forum.

    1. PS3...
    2. Erm....it depends on the game. 360 for shooters and racing games. PS3 for rpgs and fighting games...
    3. PS3 I think...
    4. It doesnt have as good of a game library that 360 does, imo, so i doubt it. Blu-ray was also one of the worst rated products of the year by yahoo which gives me the feeling the blu-ray addition is kind of useless.
    5. Hell yeah.

In short, my opinion is that ps3 is a better machine than a 360 is, but the 360 has better games and would probably be smarter to get. Of course I barely know, but this is what I see.

1.) Which game system has better graphics?
    PS3

2.) Which game system has better control settings?
PS3, the controllers are wireless, and some games you tilt the controller to control some stuff ex: Mini games on some games and such. xbox is just xbox controls. The samae as the original xbox

3.) Which game has better storage?
idk, all I know is PS3 has a 40g and an 80g system...

4.) Is the Playstation 3 worth the price?
    NO!!!

5.) Is the Xbox 360 worth the price?
Less money than PS3, but... xbox... is xbox O___O
All it is is sports games and Halo... PS3 is going to have a wider range sooner or later.

    *edit*
I, personally can't stand my PS3, but I can't stand my xbox360 either. If you get a PS3, get the more expensive 80g one. The 40g wont play PS2 games.

Right now, the only PS3 that will play backwards compatible is with the PS3 Metal Gear Solid pack. There's another one too, but I can't recall what pack it's with. I can hope later the PS3 website will offer some games to download etc to be able to played on the PS3 as an alternative to the device removed to drop the price down. Fortunately I still have my ps2 and it works fine so I don't worry about it really.

Also, SJ, I think quite a few of us have been 'neutral' despite saying preferences in the end. Many people have said 'buy it for the exclusive games' so it's not just a select few people who are not being the typical fanboys/girls and I'm kind of grateful for that. So sick of lame console wars.

1.Both have almost the same graphics, but PS3 has a better improvement of
graphics because the disks are in Bluray

    2. Both are very comfortable and easy to use. I like both very well.

    3. The 360 needs a harddrive to save, which come in 20GB, and 60GB (there might be more not sure), but you can always buy a seperate hard drive, and they are easy to add on. A PS3, I think might already have the hard drive in the console. They come in 40GB, and 80GB (not including the old 60GB). So it depends which you decide to get.

    4. Truthfully, one might think. It is a computer on its own, has free wifi (with Xbox Live, you do need to pay), and also a bluray player. The price is of course steep for gamers, and for right now, there are no games that come to interest to me.

    5. The console, now is very cheap, I bought my Premium, for only $170! Don't know how much Xbox Live is yet, but I'm guessing that it might be an annual payment. It for me has more games I would consider playing.

In the end, it depends on what you have the money for. Obviously, a rich person would pick both, but for the rest of us, we have to decide on on console, since most of us aren't rich to buy both. That's where console wars come in. People try and make the one they have seem better than the others since they don't want to pay for another console. To me, you should love all consoles. They all have their flaws, and advantages. As to which to get, it should not be on idiotic stuff such as PS3 has better quality games, or Xbox has arcade games. It depends on what will make it worth your dollar. Who would buy a console just for one game? I say wait and look at the games that each have, the ones you would consider buying more of should be the console you should pick. Until you get enough for another console =D

I know their are neutral people out there, relax. I just read through the thread and noticed a little inside joke; don't read too much into it.

But yes I agree, even I used to be all for a good console war argument, but it's just getting old and immature. but it isn't any better argueing how they're equal either <<

laaawli dunno owe 2 reeed sum1 hlp meeeee pleeeezzzzzoxxx.

Ok now to stop joking, I was responding to certian points you made and ignoring others. Now I'll admit I missed the GUI and better activity thing, but as for the upscale DVDs and Blu-Ray: you don't need to buy blu-ray is right, but you can if you want the rest out of your PS3. Just like you're counting that you can buy XBL if you want the best out of your 360 as well as the wireless adaptor if someone has a reason they can't use a cord.

    Elaborate.

1)In a nutshell, the PS3's CPU architecture is unlike a lot of hardware that's been released making it difficult for developers to work with. So, multiplats usually look better on the 360's hardware which is similar to a PC. But, 1st party developers have access to resources from Sony in order to make superb looking games like KZ2 and Uncharted.

    2)Check for yourself.

3)The PS3's HDD is more versatile in that you can purchase 3rd party HDDs (just make sure they're compatible), while I'm pretty sure the 360's have to have one speciffically made for it. I believe there's even a 250 GB HDD going for 120 USD.

4-5)Depends on what you find necessary and unnecessary.

If you buy the $199 Xbox 360 you still have to pay for the hard drive and without the hard drive you can't do anything but play games.

....Then why buy the gimped arcade version? Exactly my point, buy a 60gb xbox and you'll still be cheaper than a 360.
