Kingdom Hearts II ps3 & KHIIFM+?

Just wonderin... would I be able to play Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ on my ps3 or would I have to buy a japanese one to do it? I know the ps3 can play imported ps3 games, but I'm not sure about ps2 games. (Hope I posted this in the right section)

 

nope, your ps3 wont play it, Im in the same boat, have to buy a ps2 monday.

 

I would've personally put it in KHII General, since this is for in-game KH2 help.

But anyway, no you can't. Only a JP PS3 can play JP PS2 games.

Best arrangement you can have is a PS3 for all your US PS games, and a Japanese PS2 for imports, or a modified PS2 with Swap or chip.

 

Reason why I canceled my order. I have to buy another Ps2, and I refuse to do it. Anyways, no you can't, because you would have to buy Swap Magic, which only works on a Ps2. So... sadly, you can't.

 

Lol, im stuck buying another ps2, oh well its only going to be 257$ total, not that much.

 

I actually should've just ordered a Japanese PS3 to begin with.

That way, I wouldn't have had to buy a Japanese PS2 and kept my unmodified PS2 for PS2/PS1 US games.

My JP PS3 would've played my PS3 games and my JP imports. As well, you can still change the text display to English and it can play all region blu-ray DVD movies and of course, all region PS3 games. At most, all I'd need is a voltage transformer.

Too bad I never thought of that back when it was important.

 

But how would you play your u.s ps2 games if you didnt have a ps2? magic swap is 39.50 with shipping, not that much and its great.

Basically it's like this.

When PS2 first came out, I bought it (obviously). It wasn't modified.

PS3 comes along.

Buy JP PS3 = all Japanese imports and all PS3 games US/JP and all region blu-ray DVDs.

All US ps2 games --> PS2 I had from the beginning.
