Is it possible to use a PS3 controller on PC games? I'd prefer to use it, since my PC controller, although useable, is kinda sucky.

It is, you need to download drivers I think. I did not get to far into it though. I researched for myself since I wanted to use my PS3 controller for PSP emulation.

If you download drivers it wont permanently change the controller, plugging it back into the PS3 will set it right back up.

Depends on the game. If it's not compatible you'll have to use something like XPadder to map your controller.

I used a program called MotionJoy (Would need to double check that on my pc) and it worked really well. Takes a wee bit of muddling around, but it works in the end. I've used it for emulators and games without a problem. There's tonnes of installation and setup guides out there, so you would be good do go.

I also use MotionJoy, it works excellently. You just plug in your controller via usb cord (there's also an option for bluetooth but you'd need a special piece for your computer to use that) open motionjoy, load the drivers and you're good to go. If you have any problems figuring out how to use it for a certain game, Google pretty much has you covered there.

Same as above.. but I never got it working in bluetooth only by USB. I've used in most emulators, mostly to play KH games (the ones of DS), and it works fine.. its kinda funny that I actually got one opportunity to play in an actual Nintendo DS, but I preferred the gameplay with my Dualshock LOL! I think it's because I am more familiar with it.. but I didn't have this experience when playing the Psp that was great.. but then again the PSP is like a dualshock.
The only thing that I didn't like about it is that the program doesn't reconize the dualshock right away, so it is not "plug and play"... for that reason (and not being able to use the bluetooth) I prefer using my controller of the Ps2.. that is basicly the same (has to use cord), but my pc already detects it without the use of third programs... just plug and play.
