well, since PCSX2 didnt work, i ordered a swap magic. i got it today and tried it out, it worked perfectly. i, for some freaking reason, i DO NOT know why, i switched the video mode to NTSC, and hit load program, without switching the discs (i had forgotten at the moment how to use it). the swap magic just restart, i tried again, thinking im doing it right (i still didnt remember exactly how to do it) and i hit load program, and then swapp the discs. then it went to the memory card manager menu, and now whenever i try to do it again all it does it A: go passed the PS2 logo and not work at all, or B: constantly go back to the memory card menu. HELP! buying a new PS2 is NOT an option! i also tried another game, and it seemed to work fine!! D;
Shut down the ps2 and try again (and by shut down I mean completely turned off). Also, you cannot use just any blank DVD-R you buy. PS2 can only read certain brands of DVD's. (I use Sony DVD-R for my ps2 backups) Also when burning the game never burn higher than 4x.
ok, i go it to work for a second, and the burned disc workis FINE, the SWAP MAGIC doesnt work. it worked for a bit, but then for some reason stopped. i tried what i did last time, but nothing. ima try some more stuff...
ok, i have to THINK i've figured this out. My PS2 is REALLY, RREEAALLYY old, and the fan has stopped working well. i've noticed that it only works after not trying for a long time, and whenever it doesn't work the console is hot, so i guess thats the problem. I'll be sure to use a can of compressed air on it, to see if it helps. but there's just ONE more thing i need to know.... what in the world are the shiny crown things in KH2FM+? i know, it's completely off topic, but i just need to know that then you can close this thread. thanks for the help, (or at least for trying), i never would've suspected this to be the problem and i doubt anyone here would either. Just for clarity to anyone else with this kind of problem, It was because the fan is old and the PS2 was getting too hot.
well the crown things are are a type of mini game u have to collect them to complete the puzzles XD and well u complete them u get items ;)
Why don't you try to put the PS2 In front of a Fan it may work... I Have a PS2 slim and whenever i'm going to play i put it in front of a fan then it plays games much smoother and less crashlike ^^
well, i just ordered a USB fan, and im using a fan right now, it doesnt seem to be working. ill try angling it differently. and i still need to know what the crown things are =P edit: just found a good spot. i have the PS2 one of those green shamrock farms crates, put the fan down flat facing up, and it seems to have worked =P
well you should really keep it up on something so it gets air into it cus if you don't have it propped up on something it will overheat and if it overheats it will ruin your ps2 so yea don't set it on you bed or on your flour or it will overheat.
