The corrupted data is either an unreadable file which only CFW can read or it really is corrupted and you can just delete it. and why 5?

6.60 Pro C is the latest PSP CFW and supports pretty much all games, and it's easier to install, so I thought he'd prefer that. Alternatively he could try the Pandora Battery method if he really wants 5.X that bad.

If he wants, he can temporarily install 6.xx, make a Pandora battery via Hellcat's Recovery Flasher, then make a MMS with this program. Then he can just downgrade to 5.50 M33.

What exactly are you trying to do? If you just want to play iso games, install 6.60 pro c, forget everything else.

I don't see what playing a UMD has to do with installing CFW but I'm guessing the UMD is just damaged.

Ok. First off make sure you back up all the save data you need on your computer. Once you do that, go t your PSP, go to system settings, then format the memory stick. After that, stay in system settings and to to restore default settings. Once you do that, download the 6.60 Pro C CFW from here and follow this tutorial to install it. Once you have successfully installed that, download the CWCheat plugin from here and follow this
tutorial to install it. Once you have installed that, just load up your UMD and hold select for cheats. If that doesn't work then I really have no idea and there is probably something wrong with your PSP or the UMD you are using.

I think they either have to be in a folder or out a folder. IDK
