You know, despite the casting that I was disappointed in. (could've had at least orlando bloom for this) It really doesn't look to bad, the costumes and the settings are good in my eyes, despite the prince not being.....a prince. Now I just want to see how the "sands of time" will play into this.
Never saw the thread. D8 Ah...well I`m just hoping the movie will be as good as the games. If it is, then it'd be the best game based movie ever. 8D
New trailer. http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=100361501 Jake Gyllenhall is playing the Prince. I don't like his face for it, not serious enough. I would have preferred someone like Orlando Bloom. Producer's the same as Pirates of the Caribbean, I hope he can pull off another great film. The movie has a few differences. Farrah's gone, instead there's Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton [Strawberry Fields from Quantum of Solace]) Supposedly, she doesn't have a bow and arrow, but pretty much plays the same part Farrah did. Instead of the Vizier, we have Nizam, the brother of the king of Persia and the uncle of Dastan (the Prince). There is no Vizier in the movie, however, Nizam essentially is the movie version of the Vizier being that he is the main antagonist and also the chief conspirator in the plot to kill his brother, the king. Nizam is played by Ben Kingsley (Kagan in Bloodrayne, The Rabbi in Lucky Number Slevin, "The Hood" in Thunderbirds, and many other roles) I like the choice for Nizam. I was hoping they'd get someone old. Something I don't understand is they have Ben Kingsley as Nizam and then the cast list has GÃsli Örn Garðarsson as the Vizier. Maybe he plays him after the sands incident? I don't know yet.
