i have had two precognitions in my life. the first time was christmas eve of 2005. i went to bed. i had a dream. i left my body so that i was a floating spirit head. i was hovering about eight inches above the ground. i went into my moms room, she was wrapping a present. it was the nintendo ds i wanted. the wrapping paper was partially open. there was a name tag on it. the name tag said "danny." in the wrapping paper was a silver nintendo ds. next to it was the exact same thing except a blu nintendo ds, and the name tag said my sisters name. i woke up the next day and payed it no attention. surely enough i got a silver nintendo ds, and my sister got the blue one. the only difference is that in real life, the wrapping paper didn't have names, so my mom just pulled the two out from behind her back, with no specific idea which one was which. so it could have gone the oposite way. but i still find it odd that my dream told the future. i had one other in my life but i dont remember what it was. if anyone knows how i can get more precognitions please post. i have been trying to find this out for some time now. post also if you have had anything similar happen to you.

I recall having something like a being out of the body experience when I was younger. It's hard to tell if it was a dream or not, but my parents told me I had a nasty fever and was having one of those violent fits that people get when their temperature gets really high.

Basically I remember it as if I was watching the scene in my room in third person (i.e. I saw myself and my parents and my sister crowded around me, even heard my sister talking to me). When I woke up the next morning, I told my parents my dream and apparently what I recalled really happened. My parents' position, the things my sister said; all true. Kinda freaky, but that's the closest thing I can remember that might've have been considered an out-of-body experience.

    Meh...I'm very skeptical of that.

Being able to control that isn't possible. You'd have to rematerialize in separate places for that....

    At least I'd imagine...

Yeah, sorry, I'm not a big believer of that sort of thing being intentionally manipulated. If it were that easy there'd be a whole lot of problems out in the world right now.

beleive it or not, its true. sure, it takes me a second or two to do it, and it only lasts for a fifth of a second(thats about right, not entirely sure) but i can.

and if i do it on a person, that person actually feels a tingling sensation right between the eyes. ive done it to more than one person on more than one occasion.

although, that is not what thi forum is about.

I've had dreams of the future so many times, but I usually forget I do and when it happens I remember that I did dream of it.......then it's usually followed by a major case of deja vu o.O

    I <3 feeling deja vu :3

What drugs are you people on, honestly The human body is not that special we can't predict the future, we can't fly out of are bodys and join with other objects.

Hm... I've gotten a lot of Deja Vu, and once, I had a dream (some little thing. Me and my sisters were running and saying "Let's play the states game!") and the same thing happened the next day. I could remember what one of my sisters was wearing in the dream, and she wore the same thing the next day.

But I find that pretty cool.

That kind of thing happens sometimes, though I suppose I don't think of it often...now that I think about it, it mostly happens when I'm sleeping, and I catch occasionally catch a glimpse of myself sleeping.

Its so strange how you can see something, and then, months later, you see it again...and in vivid detail too...from colors to the feelings of the sun on your arm.

At least I know there are other people around here who do the same thing...its proof that I haven't lost my mind completely. (Yet)

I've had these kind of dreams before. My advice to you is to use those dreams for good.

I think that precognition is a possibility but not a very likely one. Most Deja Vu is simply brain lag. It takes a moment for your brain to register things sometimes and when this happens it feels like the thing has happened before, because it has just a second ago.

Then you begin looking back to see when you experienced the same thing before, and where are there big blank periods in your memory, when you're asleep of course :p so that is where your mind thinks it has experienced things before.

I personally feel Deja Vu all the time and sometimes it feels very real, so I am not 100% ruling out that there may be more to the feeling. The human mind is a complex thing, and it only gets more confusing when the way that different people perceive different things is taken into account.

And John S. if you want to talk about "growing up" you might want to present your ideas like a "grown up" (in a logical way) instead of just insulting people for their beliefs, because they are not the same as yours.
