I haven't seen the whole movie, but I just saw part of it while catching up on DVR on recordings on my mom's Dish satellite. Basically, it's about a son who is gay and the mother does not accept it. She prays to try and convict Bobby that it's a sin to be gay. He ends up committing suicide by falling backwards from a bridge. It's heartbreaking, to be honest. Has anyone else here seen the whole movie? If so, opinions? Note: I don't care about spoilers, so there's no need to tread carefully.
I haven't seen it but I have a friend (a very homophillic person) who has watched it and cried quite a bit in it (and she doesn't cry- I've never seen her cry in the 5 years I've known her). She said it was quite heartbreaking and told me the basic synopsis and I find it tragic, I would probably find it very interesting yet really annoying at the same time. I know that I get angered by people who are so unaccepting xD
