I love TD bank. Whenever I helped host Heart Walks or other events at my old elementary school, they would always be there, selling merch.

To date, I have 4 shirts, over 50 pens, and 2 notebooks from them.

I went to the Met today & saw this awesome Lilith sculpture even though they said it wasn't on display! My sister took the picture so of course she edited it but...

That is surprisingly beautiful.

Aside from the (purposely?) blurriness of the photo, it's really nice. I love how you two are just staring at each other. "Child meets monster." I don't know if it's just me, but I think those eyes of her are a bit scary.

 

It's supposed to be a creepy statue! In Jewish mythology (I believe it is) she was created from the same dust & clay as Adam, and thus felt she was equal to him. She refused to be subservient and Yahweh (God) cast her out of Eden for it. She later mated with fallen angels and gave birth to demons. While it's contested whether or not she is a positive feminist icon, I consider her one because my interpretation of the story is that evil is born from discrimination/inequality, whether it is through sex, race, etc.

It's not purposefully blurry though, my sister just has shaky hands I guess lol.
