    It can be a pain to get there, but Windows is pretty customizable. Rainmeter, for one, and for Visual Styles I use a program called CustoPack Tools. You can switch it up quite a bit. Of course, it will never be as customizable as Linux operating systems, but it's not bad. c:

    This is true. c: Windows 7 with a visual theme and some customized icons, a start orb and a Rainmeter clock on the desktop. ...And some tweaks.

    Trying to customize Windows is like adding JavaScript onto a pre-formatted page in which you cannot edit the core HTML but can only add onto it. It is doable, but it is a hell of a hassle.
