And GS or I shall create Final Fantasy sort of plots out of them.

    FINAL FANTASY XV

It is the turn of the century.
Chiaroscure serves to stand as the pinnacle of human existence on the world Tellos,

from what is known. The only survivor of a dark, cataclysmic event known as the

Bombardment that occurred over a hundred years ago prior, the city Chiaroscure, now

thriving, serves to be the largest metropolis amongst a loose collection of trading

cities on the Grand Continent named the Lubeck Branch.

Chiaroscure is a city defined by its industry. A land of metal, brick, glass,

smoke, and steam, all technology in the city is powered by the aforementioned

steam, and the city is dotted with factories of all sorts, producing various goods.

Tall skyscrapers of stone and metal line amongst the enormous smokestacks and

chimneys. The streets are dirty, oily, and rough, filled with folk donned in the

latest top-hat and black-dress Chiaroscurian fashions, contrasting with the rough

jaggedness of the working class and intermingling with the steam-powered,

anthropomorphic automatons running many of the basic jobs. Slums are everywhere and

intermingle with the very rough conditions. Skies are perpetually grey with smoke,

smog, and clouds. Rain is often.

Yet this is also a time of discovery and adventure. Through all of the cities in

the Lubeck Branch, every few months, ships go forth in search of new lands, or

recollections of old lands whose knowledge of such was lost with the Bombardment.

Some ships return with riches and wondrous tales. Some, sadly, never return. These

grand steam ships power quickly through the waters, and many different sorts line

the harbours with differences and advancements in technology.

Eliza is a very young yet extremely bright girl of thirteen years, orphaned, who

resides in the slums of Chiaroscure. She resides in a flophouse, with other

orphaned girls of all ages, most older than her, and their loving and heartily

snarky caretaker Madame Saudade, an old lady from the Lubeck Branch city

Hierrobosque. Though she gets along with everyone well, she feels very lonely and

estranged, only being able to talk to Victoria, a girl of sixteen years who acts as

a sister figure to her. Occasionally they get into conflicts, but they seem to hold

a sincere love of each other.

One day, however, on a rather peculiar day with a thunderstorm and only one client

at the flophouse, Eliza and Victoria hold an extensive conflict that leaves them

both in tears. Eliza runs out of the flophouse with a few of her things and a

handful of money, getting out onto the streets of Chiaroscure, planning to never

visit again. Victoria attempts to chase after her but loses her in the large crowd

of Chiaroscure citizens lining the streets. Horrendously worried, Madame Saudade,

Victoria, and the rest of the girls are to look around the city for the lass. The

single client that had appeared for the evening, a young and rather gruff man named

Zhelezo hailing as an engineer from the Lubeck Branch city Morskoi, also agrees to

help Victoria after he sees her looking for her sister again the next day. He says

that he heard Eliza say to herself that she would reach the city Hierrobosque, on

the other side of the Lubeck branch and the primary port of call for ships heading

elsewhere. He concludes that she is most likely attempting to reach the city on the

fifteenth of the month, in order to catch a ship to the unknown lands. Victoria

agrees, citing an incident where Eliza expressed such a wish.

Returning to the flophouse, Victoria expresses that she shall be leaving with

Zhelezo to go travel to Morskoi and search for her sister. Tearfully, they express

    their goodbyes.

Meanwhile, Eliza has been able to make it safely to the border parts of the city,

near the border to the industrial plain known as the Blacklands. On a particularly

stormy night, she stays by herself in an abandoned warehouse. It is here, however,

she meets an automaton that was abandoned in the warehouse, despite its working

condition. A very advanced automaton, it is built in the shape of a human, with an

artificial intelligence key of that of a polite and witty young boy. The not have

a name. However, Eliza, alone, decides to express her problems and frustrations

with her living conditions and the people around her to the automaton, and her plan

of escaping to the city Morskoi. The name appears to ring a bell in that of the

automaton, who was abandoned here a long while ago, and is unknown of the identity

he had before what appears to have been a failed faulty factory reset. He agrees to

travel with Eliza to the city Morskoi. However, he continues to not know of his

name, or the reason of his building. Eliza is also unsure of what to call him at

first, and simply refers to him as "the automaton".

This is where the narrative splits. The narrative of the game then thus jumps

between two perspectives per chapter - that of Eliza and that of Victoria. It is a

tale of chase and one longing for protection, the other for independence.

The two groups pass through three cities before finally reaching Morskoi -

Hierrobosque, Arashi, and Gunung Bersinar. Each city is unique in itself, and

something special occurs in each city.

Hierrobosque, the first city, is where a third member is picked up by each of these

two separate parties, and something is learned about, or is learned by, the second

member of each party. Carmena, a travelling merchant who is relatively lonely in

herself, decides to visit Morskoi in the hope of the Midautumn Market there being

more successful for her sales. Seeing Eliza and the automaton attempting to sneak

food from her stall one night, she at first chases them through parts of the city,

but catching them, takes them to her home. There she cooks them a meal and decides

to give them a place to rest for a while. After their motives are discussed, she

agrees to take them to Morskoi, but she may have to stop in the cities Arashi and

Gunung Bersinar at times to simply restock or see if she may sell something. It is

also here that the automaton meets another one of his kind, an old robot butler

that seems to not be as diverse in his personality as the automaton boy is. Here,

the automaton boy seems to realize that this robot is just like him, and seems to

have a set purpose, yet is curious about whether or not setting itself into its

purpose has resulted in the stunting of its personality like such, or if it ever

had one in the first place. The automaton boy begins to develop his questions for

the specifics of his own identity and self, and wonders, from the way Carmena

believes him to be Eliza's servant and not an equal being, if automatons of his

kind will hold a place in this world equal to that of humans.

(realizes this is getting horrendously long and I am going to cut this down

    immensely)

For Victoria, they reach Hierrobosque a day after Carmena, Eliza, and the automaton

leave. Her and Zhelezo ask around the town to see if they have seen such a girl as

her. Taking various rounds around the city, they commonly regroup at a local inn,

owned by a young lady named Isabella. Constantly hearing about their discussions,

she decides to join them late at night to help them move towards Morskoi to find

Eliza, for her own personal reasons. It is also here that, in a few conversations

and discussions amongst the three, a few things of the mysterious Zhelezo are

learned. Namely, he attempts to keep it a secret that he himself has been on one of

the famous boats that have travelled elsewhere in the world before, and his

occupation as an engineer is the creation and repairing of automatons, along with

    their artificial intelligence systems.

In Arashi, such is the city where they come extremely close to getting in contact

with each other (involving various shenanigans with a restaurant and a rich

aristocrat of the city). However, they seem to just miss each other, and Eliza is

able to continue on her way to Morskoi.

In Gunung Bersinar, something about the third member and the general world is

learned. Namely, Eliza is given a crystal shard of sorts by a befriended man named

Nascita who tells her to keep this shard with her on their boat trip. The automaton is also finally given a name when contemplating the recent adventure, along with looking through the Gunung Bersinar library, and catching up on the speech patterns from the local people, when looking at the large moon with Eliza. He names himself Cogito.

Morskoi has been reached. Through more shenanigans and the like, Eliza's party has

chartered a pristine new and high-tech steam ship recently gambled in by the

flamboyant and eccentric Captain Vetrodita. More shenanigans occur and Victoria's party, arriving some time later, is forced to also be recruited onto the ship. The narratives finally merge as the ship sets sail under Vetrodita's command as they are to head towards the unknown world. A tumultuous talk between Eliza and Victoria eventually results in their reuniting. Meanwhile, Vetrodita's ship, the Stalnoikogot, is also run primarily by a crew of the less personally developed automatons.

Things happen and the like and they reach a mysterious new continent ooh oh my and some other such character development more things are realized it turns out that the planet is being eaten through the inside out by something called the Void and it has already influenced the new continent effectively et cetera et cetera. New party member from the local people, venturing deep inside the Void, things about the mysterious Zhelezo revealed, things about Cogito's purpose revealed, character development, character development.

Then it is revealed that the purpose of the Void is to create a new planet in itself, out of the shell of this dying world, Tellos. The planet began developing this cancerous growth that would eventually turn on itself and form a new planet, resetting everything from the start save general life altogether, as a response to the Bombardment, due to the effects it had on the planet, which in itself may or may not be or hold a living entity at its core. It turns out Tellos used to be an extremely advanced technological haven but various accidents and mishaps of the sort resulted in political blunders and the aforementioned Bombardment. Implication is that the man Nascita may or may not be a survivor of this time, despite looking very bishounen.

More things happen and the such and the seed initiates this and et cetera and yes and some other things and there is still hope for saving the planet by reversing the Void and the like but the man Nascita feels there is no hope et cetera et cetera main antagonist is not necessarily Nascita but this idea of despair and fatalism he holds et cetera et cetera eventually things happen the end apologies for this being so long.

In the meanwhile this game touches on themes of hope, the ethics of robotics, the ethics of imperialism, discovery both of the self and of physical locations/things, different perspectives, cancer and disease, pollution and the environment, diversity of culture and languages, illusions, the concept of thought and consciousness, cause and effect, poverty, pragmatic idealism, relationships between humans and robots, relationships between humans in general, loss, the need to be independent from others, the wish for protecting others and other things, some other things, yes.

A story of a wish for a lass to be independent and her sister figure who wishes to protect her turns into the story of the birth of an independent planet from the potential death of another and the wish of its inhabitants to protect it.

My plan for the ending is:
    1. They are able to save the planet.
    2. The planet is slowly dying regardless and by planting the seed and saving as many people as possible by keeping them close to the core, the surface shall conduct the reset, and with the vast knowledge of things from the core of this planet they will be able to rebuild society as wiser people, along with giving automatons a purpose of sorts with interacting more efficiently with the core and simply rebuilding from the ruins of the cities left, together, as a single whole.

    Leaning towards the second.

Also the core is most likely a crystal in itself to follow Final Fantasy tradition. A living, organic crystal.

Post your ideas and GS or I shall come up with random worldbuilding and plots that will be 1/15th the size of what you see above!

NOTE: Due to the size limit I now have, from this point onward all premises thus far shall be extremely parodic.

Replace Okabe with Octodad and retitle this "Final Fantasy XV".
