Post Here, Get a Stand

Like what? I have a vague idea of how I want the story to be but I'm not entirely pleased with what I have...

I should probably mention I'm leaning towards setting the story in a modern Earth setting, so don't expect any KH references outside of usernames. I want the story to feel as JoJo as possible.

 

We have choices for key points as well:

1. Anything to do with the primary JoJo's Stand
2. Major Event going on in the story
3. Primary Setting
4. Key characteristic/affinity of the primary JoJo

Trying to name it without knowing which way this is going is gonna be a little difficult. One name that I can think of, if the primary JoJo is still Dinny, right now is "Dimensional Caravan." Not the best, but it's something.

 

Dimensional Caravan might work cause the plots I came up with involve Dinny jumping into an alternate universe, SynK sought her out because his Stand can allow him to see into the future, then they go on a bizarre adventure. I've come up with two plot ideas so far:

1. Dinny jumps to a universe where Stands are more or less public knowledge and there is some big competition involving Stand battles. Naturally Dinny learns this from SynK who is looking for people to team up with to compete in this competition and Dinny, being the dimension hopping explorer she is, joins up. This one doesn't appeal to me as much.
2. Dinny hops to an alternate universe, gets found by SynK who is out looking for people to combat this universe's equivalent to Dio, GS. Dinny agrees because, well... LOOK, DO YOU WANT A JOJO STORY OR NOT?! That's the reason.

 

Lol, alright then. Although, if GS is gonna be the Dio Expy of our little story, she'll need little convincing to stop a Dangerously Genre Savvy Evil Overlord Magnificent Bastard who loves to Kick (Read: Burn) the Dog with a Big Screwed-Up Family. Just sayin'.

 

It would of kind of been what you'd get if you cross JoJo with MadWorld, in which your ranking in the tournament is determined by who you killed to get that position. For example you could go from Rank 100 to Rank 50 by killing the previous holder. But the idea I had was there wasn't any sort of "x vs. x" tournament going on, it was more of a "you fight anyone in the tournament you happened to bump into" kind of tournament, which brings up a whole ton of writing headaches.

True. Now the problem is trying to avoid making it too much like Stardust Crusaders with KHV members.

 

Well, if we get the Stand-creating Arrow involved and get a few Evolved Stands (and possible Requiem Stands, you know, if you want to) in here, it should be different enough. Also, It's not like they are trying to Dimension Hop around before a certain number of days pass by. I feel that should differentiate it enough.[DOUBLEPOST=1401681883][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, Dimension Hopping. Just, yeah. That's super different, so no worries on that front.

 

Okay so here's what I'm thinking for the beginning:

• Dinny hops to setting universe
• SynK finds her and convinces her to help stop GS
• SynK informs Dinny that with the power of his Stand he discovered that GS will be at a certain location on a certain date (both are undecided right now), and to prepare to fight GS they must look for other Stand users to assist with the adventure.
• GS becomes aware of SynK's plan to defeat her via SPACESHIP (who we all know if he were a JoJo character he'd be called Jefferson Starship) and his Stand tapping a near by car radio and sends assassins to deal with them.
• SONO CHI NO SADAME! JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJO!!!

Not sure where dimension hopping will come into play that much, besides Dinny using it to teleport spam during a fight. :\

 

Ahhh, I see. Teleport Spamming through Dimension Hopping. *wipes patriotic tear* President Valentine would be proud.

Also, loving the name Jefferson Starship.

But yeah, I'm loving the plot points you've got so far.

 

Speaking of President Valentine, I'm also thinking of making GS a politician. I was inspired by Richard III for this idea. For example!

So to recap:
Dinny is our JoJo (called Jodin Nyjo to justify JoJo title and to keep Dinny's name there)
SynK is basically our Willaim Zeppeli
GS is a politician who puts up a front of being a humble statesman (along with a few other ideal traits for politicians) but in actuality...
Dinny & SynK are on a quest to gather the Knights of the Stand Table (not going to use that name, don't worry) to battle GS because he is a hardcore badass
And GS is sending a Carnival of Killers after them.

That makes me glad.

 

We should call the main Stand Protags the Caravan. Just "the Caravan." The Baddies can remain "the Carnival of Killers" because hell yeah, that's badass.

And man, I'm guessing SynK is in for one grisly death.

I was just referencing a trope with the Carnival but hey someone seems to like it so I will use it.

I can neither confirm nor deny that possibility.

Stand Name: Godzilla
