Today I came across this site, and on this site I found this thread:

    Linkage

I am actually at a complete loss for words, the only thing I can say is holy **** at the lengths some people will go to, I mean ****ing hell, this is just scary.

    Thoughts?

It's not particularly surprising considering these people have had to put up with people insulting twilight and their belief in the series. This, however takes it too far. It's book, not a person. You don't need to protect a book as if it has feelings. I mean, ffs they are going out to hurt and maim these people just because they don't like a book? that sounds a bit like christians with a belief in the bible or the muslims with a belief in the Qur'an any religion and it's holy text. It's sad to say that their belief in twilight has actually turned into some form of religion. These, for lack of a better term are the equvilant of sectarian attacks and has nothing it's defense except "The book is good".

That just is not right and i hope they are all caught and given the punishments they deserve.

This is fucking sick. So if I said to a fan girl/guy I haven't seen Twilight (which I haven't) and most likely never will, because I don't like the concept, I will get beaten, threatened, pushed of a bridge, thrown at with ninjastars (yes, I read that too) etc?
    That is really fudged up.
Like the above person said, it's only a book goddammit, not a person.
What is so great about it anyway?
Though I don't really like the concept of an 'Anti-Twilight' forum, I understand that these people hate it and all the people who do this kind of shit. Okay I gotta admit, I get pretty upset (without showing it of course, later I'll cut my wrists.... jk lol) when someone rants about KH or dislikes it, but that's his/her opinion, and I respect that if he/she has some good arguments to back it up with.
My conclusion, Twilight fans are pretty fucked up.

What really got to me is the sheer extreme lengths that some people will go to. It actually scares me somewhat, I mean ****, there is a story in there about how one chick killed a 7 year old girl's pet fish because the 7 year old didn't like Twilight.

I don't get it, how the hell did one series of books lead to so much crap?

*Is a Twilight fan* Wow, way to label all of us D:

There are extremes to everything, and people react differently when provoked. Of course I do not support this in anyway, it just bugs me when people are like ALL TWILIGHT FANS ARE ****ED UP

who on earth is sad enough to join an Anti-Twilight forum anyway? =P
You join forums of things you like, generally not to insult other people's intrests xD

For sure I'll agree with that, I loved the series before it got killed for me by one too many bad fanfics, but even so, I wouldn't go and wish a miscarriage on someone or try to slit someone's throat because they didn't like Terry Pratchett.

Why shouldn't they? There are **** tons of forums and sites dedicated to PRO twilight, so why shouldn't they have one against it? I think the more important issue is the lengths that some fans go to because of those who dislike it.

One of the reasons I left the Twilight Fandom :v
I mean, when I write something Twilight (well, did), they would slate you for something you did wrong. For example... Edward going on a date with Bella and forgetting to put a sock on (xD), you would get reviews like "OMG. YOU CNT WRIT 4 SHT. GT OFF FANFIC WIERDO"

Yes, I have seen lots of reviews like that XD

I know it is the more important issue, but these crazy fans' rage originates from people who join sites like these in the first place, right?

So do you think that those who are anti-twilight should have to keep their opinions to themselves and not voice their dislike?

I'm not trying to be confrontational, I'm just asking. Read some of the stories they linked, from the majority of them they didn't provoke the fans at all, some of them simply said they didn't like the series.

I guess I just like the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" heh, bambi. =P

Okay you're right. I judged to quick. But I actually meant the ones who assult the people who don't like it. I have read alot of those attacks on that site, and I still say it's very weird how people react to a different opinion.
Of course, you have the more sane people, probably like you, who like it, but respect any other opinion as well. But, I stay by my point, there are some weird Twilight fans in the world.

All this person said was ""I read half of the first book, but didn't like it so I stopped. Didn't really faze me or anything."" and for that they got beat with a fcking baseball bat.

I think that the saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" is fine in some contexts such as not going out of your way to offend people's dress sense or personality etc, but to then extend that and think people expressing that they dislike something is bad, I don't like that at all. People shouldn't have to be scared or feel bad about saying they dislike something.

Some people have very strong opinions I guess.

Here's something else. Go to google, type in, Twilight is...

Still I agree with the above about Mr. Pumpkin but at the same time he still has his own point even though he wasn't received as he wanted to come across.

Oh, Twilight Sucks! Haha that's the other forum I frequent!

Yeah, I'm hoping most of the stories aren't true. Otherwise, I'd better watch my back. So far I've never come across any rabid Twilight fans in real life, thank God. I've come across sane ones, though, which is completely fine with me. If you like Twilight, that's fine, as long as you're not going to assault me or something.

As I mentioned earlier in my post, that would be me. And I must defend TS here: it is not just a site meant to bash the Twilight series. Yes, that's a part of it, but it's also a community of writers. We discuss writing, give feedback, help each other out, etc. We also discuss a ton of other topics, like music, television, and other incredibly random stuff. You know, just like on KHV. ;)

I can think of several other books that much work has been done over, although I'm sure everyone knows my opinion on those lol

The fact that people will attack others for what is written as complete and utter fiction is beyond me. They need help, or at least to be detained and the brainwashing removed.

i remember stumbling across this forum, i think i even joined it lol.
It is odd how extreme fandom can go, i mean it seems twitards are the WORST.
No, im not labeling or anything, but it seems Twilight is the only thing i heard of with a fandom as strong as this.

Its like people are transforming into Bella in terms of intellect

It's a little startling, I'll tell ya. I don't think I've ever seen a fandom as diehard as Twilight fans. I'm going to consider myself lucky that the ones I've encountered who like the book are, y'know, willing to accept the fact that not everyone wants Edward to have their children. Heck, quite a few of them I'm friends with.

But it's people like these that scare the living bejeezus out of me. God forbid I'm talking with my friends about how I hate the time of day that is coincidentally known as twilight for whatever reason, and next thing I know a Twitard deicdes to attack me because poor Edward has been defaced and shame on me for doing such a thing.

I wonder if these fans are getting sued at all? I never see any stories about it on the news or anything. Heck, the only reason I heard about these attacks was because another forum was talking about them.
