Such is the method of speculation, my good sir.

... Okay, seriously, if you make ONE more reference to a game that WASN'T directed by Tetsuya Nomura, I'm going to have to look at you in a different light. Final Fantasy is BY FAR, THE MOST GENERIC J-RPG SERIES ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE, UN-DONE, RE-DONE AND DONE SOME MORE BY THE FINAL FANTASY SERIES. And not only by the FF series. Every single J-RPG pits you against against some threat to the world and you have to stop it. The only one that doesn't directly do this is Disgaea, and yet you end up doing it anyway, just to prove how badass you are. So honestly, before you make any more comments about 'recycled plotlines', just take a glance at how many RPGs exist besides Final Fantasy, and you'll realize what the point I'm making is. The goals are not necessary - they are apparently set in stone for all J-RPGs. What is important, is the means. How the story is told. We don't CARE if the last boss is some giant hoobajoob we have to take down; heck we already know we have to take down a giant hoobajoob. We. Want. To. Know. WHY.

... Do you feel ill? Xehanort's Heartless didn't exist til 10 years after BBS. How could he convince Terra of something Maleficent is supposedly supposed to convince him of?

Most definately. However, he who accepts both light and darkness will always be able to see the path forward, and will always have someone watching his back.

Ok... I was just refering to Square games... Last I checked... Square is still calling the shots over Nomura right?

But if you insist... How about Brave Fencer Musashi? The last boss pops out of hole like 2 minutes before you fight it! And thats only because you run from it for a minute 45 seconds.

It still makes my point. By the way... several key aspects of the story are in fact taken from an earlier final fantasy game which Nomura didnt direct so I wont name it (because I dont want to change the light you look at me in.) Its like, the Book of the Five Rings mixed with that one FF game.

I dont know why you hate pre nomura Final Fantasy... thats what your rant is telling me. I think that is some of the best FF games made. The ideas were original at the time.

Typo... I meant Dark Soldier. Please dont use that against me. Oh... and Malificent convinces him... perhaps she convinced him to yeild to the power of the Dark Soldier, turning him into the next one... or the Xehanor we know from KH2.

I'm confused.... I know what you meant from the post... but I now believe you played pre Nomura FF games because that line was used in one.

Exept for the watching his back part.

Come now, surely you don't believe that...

Wrong. Nomura is the Director. As in, he IS Square's representative for the game. Any references toward 'The Company' with regards to any game directed by him must be directed at him also. [Heh, the silly pun of being a director.] He oversees EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING must go through him. HE is the one who calls the shots with regards to the Kingdom Hearts games. That's what it means to be director. Square cannot simply 'override the director's descisions'. They risk all their profits in the process.

*Chuckles* Alas, I seem to see your problem. Another game which was not directed by Tetsuya Nomura. Stop mismatching directors, will you? Either way, you seem to be getting off track. We're not talking about bosses that pop out of nowhere at the last minute. We're talking about the Kingdom Hearts plotline. Specifically that of Birth by Sleep.

... Hahaha... HAHAHA... I can't hate something I've never played, now can I? Either way, I don't see what you mean by "Pre-Nomura Final Fantasy". If you are referring to before he became a Character Designer for the series, then... I still wouldn't know. Because, TN was a character designer on FF6, and I cared little for Kefka's crazed antics. So it's not like I'm hating on early FF's because of it's Nomuralessness.

Or he wanted to know how to use the power of darkness to defeat both the Dark Soldier and Xehanort? Hmm?

Truly? Interesting. I've never played them. I came up with that response on the spot. Hahaha...

Either way, something interesting I found transcribed.
o_O Well now... What have we here...? They both kick the crap out of him. Amusing, is it not?

I dunno, I believe that you are giving FF too big of a role, the square enix and disney ppl are only like side characters arent they?

Yeah that does seem a little suspicious as to why his hair would do that.

And besides, Nomura just LOVES to surprise us, doesn't he? He has in the past correct?

Objection!!!! Actually he does believe it, otherwise he wouldnt have posted that. The fact that other people believe the same only furthers the evidence that my client is in fact Xehanort. (Sorry, I read your sig and got carried away.)

Yeah, but they risk all thier profits if he breaks the cookie mold that he has been following, and all the directors before him followed. You buy an Square game, you expect a Square game, not a nomura game.

(Not that this actually made a point that contributes to the arguement, I was just pointing it out.

I dont know... your the one hating on them, not me. By the way, my favorite FF game is 4, not 6. So yeah, that was before the TN era.

Go play FF 1-6 dude, I would really recomend it. At LEAST 4 and 6. You will see what I'm talking about. 4 is short, 6 is a bit longer. If you play all of them as I have, you will see the points I was making.

Or perhaps he used the power of Darkness to take out the previos DS, only to become the next one.

Yeah, the original line was a prophecy which said "Born of a Dragon, who weilds both light and darkness will be the one who leads the path to light."

Then later another character quotes a similar line which goes, "You cannot find the path to light, you chose the path too darkness."

Or perhaps Terra kicks the crap out of the previos DS, then Ven kicks the crap out of Terra, not knowing its his friend. Ven then goes into shock gets taken out by an apologetic Xehanort.

Xehanort admits that he screwed up, giving the Old DS the power of the Keyblade, and wants his new DS to fix his mistakes.

    *DUN DUN DUUUUN!!!*

EDIT: You know... we are argueing about something we know almost nothing about... how about a truce until BbS comes out?

Objection! Your objection is objectionable! Opinion =\= Evidence.

Wrong. You buy a square game, you expect to get your money's worth.

... He was a character designer, not director. If anything, I blame Musashi's quirky attitude on him.

    Eh? I just said I wasn't hating on them. -_-;;;

Eh, I'll see. Playing turn-based RPGs has been feeling like a chore lately... No idea why...

Or he shot him, grabbed Ven, and held him suspended in the air in a chokehold, yelling "LEAD MEH INTA EVERLASTIN' DARKNESS!"

    Not.

... Seems you've chosen the path of darkness also. I cannot see what your point regarding this is.

... *Throws a cup of boiling hot coffee at you.*
Hold it right there, Trite. Your contradictions stand out like the bitterness of freshly brewed coffee. You've even contradicted yourself in that statement.

Aw, and I was having so much fun too... *shrugs and takes the branch, then tosses a pack of chocolate chip cookies at him.*
Cookies make better peace offerings. It's a well known fact. XD

Just a fun fact, if you look at the screenshot of Terra standing in front of Xehanort, notice how he stands. Just like Xehanort and Xemnas, his right foot is forward and his left a bit to the side. What a major giveaway...

    ... *cough*

Go look at yourself in the mirror. Most people stand like that. Especially if they happen to be right-footed.

*Looks at mirror* I don't stand with my right in front, rather, both slightly to the side, as do most people. Xehanort's stance is unique, and I don't think anyone else in KH stands like that (correct me if I'm wrong, please), so I still think this is a big giveaway.

Oh yeah, and what you said about "another Xehanort", I read somewhere that it was supposed to be, "What you have done has given me hatred to(wards) you, Xehanort." Besides, it doesn't make much sense if something one person did makes you angry towards another.

Hope that didn't sound rude. :satisfied:

That line confuses me... but either way. His hate was being manipulated, and that just doesnt seem natural.
