I agree another numbered entry wouldn't be good but maybe a prequel and some fillers on the backstory of Aperture. (never got to play the original so forgive me if there were details on Aperture that I don't know about because of ignorance.)

I agree. ANother idea would be a TF2 styled sequel where it's all PvP.

Not only the dialogue but everything else too. Valve just had a stroke of genius during the production...

Portal 2 was a pretty awesome game. It was entertaining and it made me laugh at some points.
The singing turrets at the end made me cry tears of joy.

Finally got my new computer set up and started playing this. I've been itching to since its release, but ironically my computer at the time decided it would be absolutely perfect to kick the bucket a week before it came out. >:

Anyway, I love it so far.
One of my concerns about the game had been if Wheatley, alongside the other voiced appearances, would take away from the creepy, 'isolated' atmosphere I was immersed in in the first Portal. So far -- granted I haven't made much progress -- the game has struck an impressive balance between the dialogue and gameplay and I'm still getting that lonely, 'lab rat' feeling. It feels very desperate and pressured, but at the same time in no way unnatural and -- an important aspect for me -- incredibly cinematic. It feels as if I am living this adventure, and around every corner I suspect a horrible trap. The music is great, and while I don't usually even notice sound effects much, they do an extremely impressive job of creating the feel for the environment (which also looks gorgeous, though I think the engine is just starting to show its age). Overall, the look and feel is very realistic thus far, and only the feel of my mouse and keyboard under my fingertips keeps me aware that it's all a fantasy.
Looking forward to the rest, I heard it sags a bit in the middle but has a spectacular final act.

I almost forgot about that. xD
It's been years since I've been so satisfied with finishing a game. Portal 2 has one of the best ending I've seen in a while.

I just finished it a while ago.
All I have to say is that I enjoyed the first game a bit more.

Don't get me wrong, the game is amazing. I loved Wheatley, the story, the humor.
But the only thing that Portal was better at was the simplicity and the pacing. Portal 2 is just too huge.
I hated the connecting sequences between the puzzles. You know, the part where you had to travel for about 30 minutes trying to find the next shred of wall you can use your portal gun on, just to get to the actual puzzles. It just drags on >_>
But it's just me nitpicking here. I did love the game.

I have yet to try the co-op yet. I hopefully will soon.

I'm currently in the middle of Chapter 6.
I love how Wheatly finally fulfilles his promise to bust you out of the tests and how GLaDOS gets what's been coming to her. I can believe that Wheatly was made to "dumb down" GLaDOS seeing as how he made her into a potato clock after walking past like five of them with Chell. The issue of being a stalemate associate was funny and the older testing chambers feel as abandoned as they seem old.

The co-op is great though. The actions add a bit of personality to the robots and the fact that PSN users get Steam connectivity is just an added bonus on top of everything else...

I love Valve, after I finished the Half Life games I decided to pick up Portal 1 and then 2 and I honestly love the games they put out. I usually don't have the patience for puzzle games because it actually requires time..but I decided to take the time to complete these two games and really enjoyed the end result. I'm glad people are still capable of coming up with original game ideas.

I just got to chapter seven. I'm not asking for answers but
Cave Johnson's assistant is probably how GLaDOS got started. From what i've seen they look like one in the same. I just can't wait to see what happens when she finds out...
