Pornographic Content Found inside a Used Mario & Sonic Game

Here's an article that I was just reading.

Basically, pornographic drawings were found inside a used Mario & Sonic Game a mother bought for her 6-year old son.

HOW THE HELL DID GAMESTOP LET THAT OUT OF THE STORE!!?? Even more how did it even get in the store?!?!

and.... This is why I buy new games xD

 

You don't even love your child enough to buy him a new game in the first place? Some mom.

In all seriousness, don't Gamestop and other stores check the game first when buying it? I'm just surprised that boy told his mom lol

I agree.

However, I get used games myself when the new ones are too expensive on Amazon (well, technically, my mom orders them, not me, but meh), but I'm 19 and understand that stuff better, so I can just simply throw stuff like that away.

Yes, though. New games are generally better.

 

I thought they checked too. I guess not all of them do. O_o
who would put drawings like that in there in the 1st place?

Cause wouldnt they have to actually put thr disc and stuff in the box...

Oh wow, I can't believe they could be so careless. At first I thought it was a brand new game as that would be much worse. I also hope they did get a proper apology, it's not much to ask unless she did and is just making a big deal out of it for the media.

 

talk about not taking anything seriously. I'm pretty sure that mom wasn't very happy when she found out what was in that mario game.

 

I worked at a GameStop before, we were SUPPOSED to check the games, cover and manuals. However, a lot of times the we got lazy and didn't really check them.
I would assume that is probably what happened here.

 

Heh, I've actually been to that gamestop.

Any game I've ever tried to trade in gets the airport check before they take it, so how on earth they let that slip by them is crazy. Course the individual who loaded a freakin Mario and Sonic game with porno has some serious issues...

 

First off, I believe it is the fault of all three individuals involved in getting the game to the child. The original seller should have either not drawn in the case or replaced the case when it sold the game. The first buyer, the Gamestop employee, should have checked both the case and game not only for flaws, but for content such as that. The final buyer, the mother, should have checked the case for anything inappropriate before giving it to her son. All three are at fault here.

Second: Given the topic at hand, the name of the town in which this happened is quite hilarious.

 

Never buy used games.

Question is - How did that get in and out of GameStop without being checked at least once before being sold to a consumer?

 

The only logical explanation for this is laziness on all parties, because it would have had to be noticed at one point.
