Polls *EVERYONE READ*

Any more polls in this forum WILL BE REMOVED!!!

Considering that there's a massive amount of complaints from other users about them and how they're showing up on the front page considered as advertisements.

This will be in effect 24-hours from now after this post.

its a good idea tho cuz i do see alot of pointless threads..

 

And if you do want to advertise for the story/vid/etc... Post it in your sig. That's why we have it. :p

Can this go in Forum Announcements or Rules? We have enough stuff stickied in here already. And Deathspank's Video Portal should be moved to the Forum Assistance Section, too.

 

Considering this is a sticky for creativity corner only and not the rest of the forum, it's staying where it is.

As for DS's thread, it will be moved.

 

These polls do seem pointless.there are so many fanfics with a pointless poll that asks if they should continue.why can't they ask that After they put the story up?It gets annoying after a while.

I agree with you Sara!.
Lately it have been a flod with those "should I continue this" or "what should happen next" polls for fanfics.And that started to become quite annoying.
+ some of them makes the whole page bigger so we can't see all the news text.

I think its a good idea, but some reasons people put up polls on their storys/fan things etc. is because no one posts and so more people vote in the poll and thats how they get their comments

 

Yeah, it is a problem...I did it once for a story, but I won't do it again.

True, but some of the polls were like: "who do you think so and so should help next?"

And just the sheer number of the polls were overwhelming. With help, it took me and Mish an hour to close all the polls in the area. I say 15-30 minutes just for the last ten pages or so.

umm.. sorry but I posted I think 2 polls without reading this..NOW I'll stop with the polls cause they are getting out of my hand...hehe....I'll do as ou suggested and put it in my siggy! AWESOME! now it follows me EVERYWHERE...
