Anyway, I see they've moved onto chromosomes now. xD I haven't played any fifth gen. game yet, and lack a 3DS, but it looks pretty interesting so far! The full 3D looks pretty snazzy (though I'm wondering if all encounters would start the same way that Pikachu one looks like it will). Though I do wonder what the chromosomes theme will blossom into during the story: genetically altered Pokemon for the bad guys?

    Duuuuuuuuude

    This

    Looks

    EPIC!

The first 3D Entries? That likely means now that we'll get 3D remakes of Gen I-III.

    Fingers crossed.

    Please no.
This is exactly why I was hoping they wouldn't remake Gen III. It paves the way for remaking the remakes, and that's too far.

Otherwise... I'll be honest. I don't like how things look so far. I preferred sprites to the 3d look, the new trainers both look very generic and dull, and the graphics in general look really blocky. I'm hoping that this isn't representative of what's to come, and that the games will be altered slightly to fix some of the problems, but in either case I'm going to seriously miss the sprite-based gameplay that I've come to expect from the series after 15 years of following the games.
On a more positive note, the legendaries look cool and I'll have a hard time choosing which one I prefer, the starters look great, and I'm looking forward to seeing what other great designs there will be to come in the new Pokédex. I just wish it didn't have to come at the cost of sacrificing the way things had been going until now.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. As much as I love the old generation, doing remakes of remakes will just be confusing and... not very appealing to the wallet, you know?

But that asides, I am loving the trailer, and what you can do. Unlike the previous games with the generic spritings (which I do like), you can for example jump about, and do so much more with this game. Looks fabulous, right down to the graphics. The legendaries look awesome, can't wait to see how the battle'll turn out.

I am certainly excited for this. Yes, the sprite-based gameplay was cool, but I believe that it's time for the series to evolve from that (no pun intended). I am absolutely loving the 3D look of the game. I think this may be the first time in my life I will actually get a Pokemon game on the day of its release!

Now to finish some of the older games...

Definitely going to pick this up. Pokemon Black and White 2 were both excellent games, and I have no doubt that X and Y are going to be better.

Definitely picking it up on release day.

damn, this actually looks good. hopefully HOPEFULLY the plot won't be the same damn repeat they always do. other than that, i'm glad the finally updated the graphics. it's great to see some legit animation and some gorgeous overworld environments. this game will be on my radar (but i'll probably end up waiting for Z, also I dont have a 3DS so why the fuck am i excited about it???)

I just saw the second trailer, and doesn't something about this seem a little different? I mean, we just got an English trailer at the same time as the Japanese, and it's coming Worldwide in October. Isn't that faster then they usually do with any game?

    I ****ing called it.

EDIT: Also, I'm conflicted on the starters. Not because I don't like them, quite the contrary, this is the first time I've had good first impressions on them since Gen I, but because Fennekin is a fox and a Fire type and I want one to call it Mozilla... but then I wouldn't be able to fit Typhlosion into my party and Typhlosion's my favorite Pokemon and I haven't gone without one since Diamond.
