Oh right, I see. That looks awesome, the way it displays your party by showing which Pokéball they are in.

I think they're supposed to represent the Pokemon party, since there's 6 of them & all. It also looks like they're showing the held item (looks like a Paralyze Heal?) in the bottom lefthand corner, which is a nice addon (assuming this wasn't done in Gen. V already, lol).

That's the balls of the player's party.

Also, Hawlucha a potential Fighting/Flying? That means Flying type is finally paired with every possible combination of types, assuming we get a Fairy/Flying this gen too.

Greninja looks... okay, but doesn't really make sense to me. Frogadier is named after the military, implying a strong, powerful evolution, and ninjas imply fast but weaker. Kind of hoping it's either not legit or the evolution of something else rather than Froakie.

They've actually done that for quite a few generations now, just in not-so-obvious places. Like in Emerald they had them right next to the name above the pokemon picture.

Nah, it says he's holding a mystic water.
I really like the way it looks. I've always wanted a think looking water starter, they always end up looking really chubby.

    Yeah, guess I didn't read.

The thing is, I've already been doing it free with no issue. I didn't need to go out and buy a second DS, I'd use my DS Lite and 3DS. Before? I had a fat DS and upgraded naturally to the Lite. There's also these things called friends who's DS's I could borrow if need be.

It's cheap, sure, but it's something that doesn't need to exist, so why do I need to pay for it?

The PS4 is different where getting a stack of cash every month makes it so they can afford proper maintenance on their network and keep the lag out of the fault of the servers as well as not risk people's credit card information.

This is just connecting vidya games. OH WAIT I DID THAT FOR TEN YEARS FINE.

Not too mention we've had a few others that were ninja-like and strong...ish. And what about the Shadow Trio? They're pretty tough too, in a sense of the game's perspective

Yeah, you didn't need to buy a 2nd DS, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Say I'm some kid who has never played pokemon before, so I bought a 3DS with pokemon black 2. Let's also say I have no friends or family that own a DS. How am I supposed to transfer my pokes over from black 2? This was almost the case for me, as the only DS that I had was my 3ds, as I traded in my DSi to help pay for it. Luckily I found my sisters old DS, but say I didn't, I'd be screwed if it wasn't for pokemon bank.

You seem to think that it's easy to just run into people that play pokemon. In the 8 or so years that I've been playing pokemon I have only met about 3 people in my area that do.

And that's when you start to look for a good pokemon forum so you can keep in touch with others that are around your age range and can help you with stuff.

Froakie is the Thief of the Fighter Mage Thief trinity the starters of X & Y have going on. Makes sense why his final form would be a ninja. ...In fact it isn't surprising cause Frogadier seems to be channeling a ninja.

Okay, I'm gonna handle this in sections, because this seriously needs to be addressed because of how wrong it is.

First of all; Madara is a character from a series that tries to tell us that people dressed in bright red, orange, and blue are ninja. They are called ninja, yes. Are they based in any way after traditional ninjas? No. Traditional ninjas, at least in fiction, wore all black or other dark colours, covered their faces so as to avoid being identified, and relied on small, easily concealed weapons, while remaining highly agile.

The Shadow Triad themselves are physically no stronger than anybody else. They're just very agile and good at remaining hidden. Their Pokémon are always inside of Pokéballs, which are small and easy to conceal. Honestly they could have used anything from Rhyperior to Venomoth and they'd still have seemed the same from a story perspective. They are perfect examples of the ninja archetype, but in no way are they implied to be any stronger than anybody else.

Lastly, we have not had any examples of ninja-like Pokémon that were physically very strong. Ninjask and Shedinja? Weak but fast. None of the others are directly based off of ninjas. The few that take some inspiration from them, such as Shiftry or maybe Gallade have also been extremely fragile defensively. Now maybe this new Pokémon will be surprisingly good defensively. But judging by the pattern, it won't be, and partly for that, but also very much for it's looks, I won't be using it, if it is indeed real, which it seems to be.

My my, so serious. You just can't take a joke can you? Besides, no one said "traditional ninja". All I saw was "ninja", which makes any ninja fair game.
And you know, Ninjask can actually be extremely strong if used right, since I've had my fair share of trouble with them here and there back when I was playing competitively.

I can take a joke very well, thank you. But this section is for serious discussion, and therefore serious discussion is what I shall give in it. And nobody said "ninja as described in Naruto" either, but that's what you seemed to take from it.
Ninjask can be very competitively viable, as can most fully-evolved Pokémon. That doesn't make it physically strong, defensively or offensively, which is what I said.

I just said it can be physcially strong, although most go for offensively and leave out defense because it takes less time to just focus on raising attack and using baton pass instead of wasting time getting defense up on a pokemon that can sweep quickly instead of making it into a wall.
And there's nothing wrong with making a joke in a serious section. Long as you're staying on topic it's fine. As well as the fact that you just said ninja, I just gave an example of a strong ninja in a show that made ninjas seem more awesome....somewhat; depends on the character

Okay, one question: What is wrong with how it looks?

I've seen a lot of people complain about its appearance but I for the life of me don't understand why. One person I ask said he didn't like it because it didn't have bubbles like its previous forms, and that is a really nitpicky reason for it.

Personally, I find Greninja's design decent. Don't really see anything wrong with it, but then again, I wasn't going to pick Froakie anyway.
