    It's a Mewtwo forme.

I'll be taking those silver eagles, priority shipping.

It would make sense for some genetics story or gameplay stuff; X and Y prominently feature double helixes in their logos.

    I agree with you 100%

I love how people are already whining, and they don't realize that X and Y are Genetics, and Mewtwo is the Generic Pokémon.

Just because it makes perfect sense doesn't mean anyone has to like that Mewtwo, a Pokémon who has been a massive powerhouse on its own, and complete in its backstory, suddenly has a new forme that is supposed to be the "true" Mewtwo, despite having no mention even in the place it was born.
It makes sense in terms of concept, yes, I will agree with you. But what I don't like is that they've gone back and taken a complete Pokémon and essentially retconned it into not being. The original bragging-rights legendary is suddenly not as special anymore, and that's pretty annoying considering that it was the strongest Pokémon before; the final challenge of the games.
And that's not me just talking through nostalgia goggles; I love some of the new designs, Sylveon and Froakie especially, but going back and changing something about a solidly established character just seems very wrong in my eyes.
Still, I'll reserve final judgement until the movie and games explain more on why this change happens.

That, and the past Elite Four members of the past 5 regions. And possibly all the protagonists and antagonists.

that would be cool. do you think the cries are gonna be the same? i think it would be kinda wierd to hear the cries in a 3d pokemon game

The cries wouldn't be something to change. Every Pokemon has a unique cry and I doubt they would take the time to rethink all the cries.

Not really. Take the Pokémon Stadium games for example. The cries have always been the same, and I doubt they'll update them now because those just are their cries.

Actually, the cries WERE changed in the Stadium games. It had more power, so they decided to make them more unique. I remember Pikachu having a WAY different cry in Stadium than in RGBY.

But then again, in Colosseum they were the same as RSE, but meh.

Stadium series, not games specifically. Some (Bulbasaur in particular comes to mind) were altered to sound more realistic in the first and second, but in more recent years they leave them alone.

Nah man, thas that retro feel. You can't mess with that.

It looks nice. I mean, it kinda looks like it has a gauge on the back of its head, but otherwise it's all right. Somebody mentioned it kind of cheapens the classic Mewtwo to have a more powerful forme all of a sudden, and I think I'm in that camp; I always admired the original Mewtwo for hanging tough through every generation's metagame. I hope this one isn't a straight stat improvement, or at least has a more limiting moveset, or... something.

Did we already discuss who's getting which starter? Because I'm totally getting Fennekin.

Fennekin is the most popular choice and I honestly think if it weren't for the fact I can get both games for my birthday, I'd get Chespin. It's adorable and I rarely get grass types.

Chespin's cute and all but it kinda looks like a Normal type cosplaying a Grass type. Although, really I'm just getting a fire type because my roomie's getting the frog (I'm not trying to harsh his vibe, it's just been a while since we've had different clear picks for starters) and there's no WAY it'll be slash-fighting again.

    I agree xD

Although I haven't been disappointed with a Starter's Final Evolution's look YET (mostly their Type *coughEMBOARcough*) but I want a new experience, so why not break in the new Pokémon Experience (3D) with a new choice?

I'll probably go with Froakie. I love the fire types, but I'm pretty routine with starting off with a water type.

We three need to battle intermittently on our journey, to see whose is the best starter. I propose after 1st gym, after 3rd gym, after 7th gym, and after E4.

In fact, we need to set everyone up in trios. We can use this thread as a hub! Nova shut up that's a dumb idea
