Exactly..I always hated that...it pisses me off...So...in Emerald I used some cheats to get some masterballs and catch them...

That's not the only thing it's for. If you chain enough Pokemon with it, you can end up with a shiny patch, which holds a shiny version of the Pokemon you're chaining. You can even chain shiny's. But you have to be very skilled with it, because it's easy to break a chain, meaning you'd have to start over. But you can restart the radar at any time after getting it fully charged, and it won't break your chain as long as you get the same Pokemon. What helps is to bring Super Repels or Max Repels, so you don't encounter Pokemon that aren't in the shaking patches, thus breaking your chain, even if it's the one you're chaining.

 

I've actually gotten a shiny Ditto once..My friend showed me that trick..I love my shiny Ditto..But wanna know whta's wrong with Ditto's.

Not really. You can switch out and send it back out. It'll go back to being a Ditto. All I really use Ditto's for, though, is breeding.

EDIT: I'm now on my way to Sunnyshore. My team is now:
lv41 Floatzel
lv41 Torterra-Twiggy
lv42 Staraptor
lv43 Lucario (finally evolved while fighting in the cafe on the way to Sunnyshore)
lv43 Rapidash
lv44 Luxray.

I had to make a detour to make Twiggy forget Cut and then had to show the newspaper guy a Snorunt I caught so I could get a heartscale so I could have Twiggy re-learn Earthquake, since it didn't evolve until lvl 33, missing Earthquake. Thing is, it reached 32 against Crasher Wake, but then he beat me, so it didn't evolve until it reached 33 in my next battle against him. I hate how your Pokemon won't evolve if you lose the battle.

 

It's easy: Get a ditto, get a pokemon, put them into the breeding center, walk around for a bit, come back and you have egg.

Speaking of breeding and ditto's, I just made like 28 Gible's. XD

 

lol. Nice. In Pearl I'm breeding a male Leafeon and a female Eevee with a Brave nature holding an Everstone. I'm trying to get an attack natured Eevee with perfect attack IV's so I can EV train it to be an attack based Leafeon.

Awesome team. I have a couple Lucario's (bad nature's killed my interest >: ). Are Luxray's any good, also? I've thought about getting them but I was never a fan of starter-area Pokemon.

Lv. 76 Mismagius (finally got a Dusk Stone to evolve it >___>)

Lv. 73 Metagross (bred a Beldum from the swarm of them in the battle front survival/dessert area)

Well, I have a fully trained Lucario in Pearl I might trade over. I use this one because it's the Aura Sphere Riolu from Ranger 2. Luxray's are alright when it comes to electric attacks. I usually stick with the first few Pokemon I get when playing through the story. This time I switched them at some points for HM slaves. But I mainly use them and don't worry about EV's or Natures until after I beat it. Then I just breed and train.
