Alright so everyday I check serebii.net for pokemon info. Today I found out the release date for Platinum. It's not official yet, so it could change. The date is March 22nd. Also there are names for the two new characters and the Torn world, where you catch Giratina. The scientist working for Galactic is now named Charon and the detective is Looker. The Torn world is now called the Distortion World.
Excellent news. The Distortion World sounds much better. Charon? I thought the Galatic professor was going to be "Pluto"? Hm. It must have changed.
That's his Japanese name. I don't know, I only go to serebii.net. But they have plenty of info on it anyways.

It's an obvious metaphor and form of allegory which conveys the Japanese arrogance and the themes of subjugation over the rest of the world, Pluto, being the main world, only exists in japan, Charon being the moon, is the rest of the world, therefore the world revolves around Japan. As you can see this is an obvious attempt to hide racism within the names of humble scientists, but they can't fool me. Not clever enough, Japan!
I think I like the Torn World better. Oh well. Can't be helped. Regardless, I think I might get it. I'm still working on completion in Pearl (finished Diamond), but the forms of Rotom would be kinda cool to have.
I'm going to get it because of all the new things, and Giratina's Origin Form. I like Shaymin's Sky Form too, but I don't like that you need the movie Shaymin or the Glacia Flower before you get the in-game Shaymin in order to get it.
You would still need a special item (I believe it is called the Secret Key?), which you receive from an event, to get Rotom's forms. But I guess it wouldn't matter to you. And what of Nix and Hydra?
I go to Serebii as well!They have everything you wanna know about Pokemon.Anime/games,you name it.But I though it would come out in the Summer,but Spring is perfect.Allthough I did want it for my birthday so for me,that kinda sucks.
You just need the Movie Shaymin to get the flower,but the flower can be used on any Shaymin,so you just need to find someone that has the movie Shaymin,ask him/her to for him just to get the flower and then give the Shaymin back. You know......you may be right.
