I doubt mega evolution will happen until you beat the game and have the national pokedex. anyway I'm very hype for the game. #mudkip

The Pokémon Get☆TV episode featuring footage from the game airs at 7:30 JST on Sunday—about 6:30 pm EST today, if my math is right. Not too much longer!

Too bad I'll be sleeping or working on my Final Fantasy game till I leave for work. Though I'll youtube it, or no doubt Serebii will keep the video on its front page

That was the most disappointing thing EVER.

I found it hilarious that this guy got more screentime than the actual preview.

Anyway, I heard the phrase "Mega Shinka" (Japanese for "Mega Evolution") thrown around during the preview, strongly hinting that Kyogre and Groudon are indeed getting Mega Evolutions.

Well, at least people now know for sure that OR/AS will be using X/Y's graphics engine as opposed to B2W2's. Seriously, there were people who questioned.

Also, Kyogre and Groudon summoning their weather effects looks awesome.

I am a little disappointed that we saw so little, but what we did see was pretty darn cool~

Wait....why would they use a graphics engine from an older game and not use what they used with the most previous? Call me ignorant, but doesn't that seem like going a step back?

What I kind of wish for is another scene we get in the game...okay, more than a scene, that we get to see our characters take part in. I know that the protagonists aren't customizable like in X/Y and have default looks, but you gotta admit it'd be nice to get a full view like we did in X/Y. Actually, now that I think about it, it'd be pretty neat to be able to customize May/Brendon in this game. I thought the customizing was a nice add-on and they should keep it for the next few generations at least.

Seconded, but how 'bout this time the male player character gets more than FOUR FRIGGIN' STYLE CHOICES. The ladies' shop is packed with cool stuff and the fellas got, what... one decent-looking outfit? Which is still so hipster it hurts.

The announcement was pretty disappointing; I actually ended up saying "why are you pulling a Square" after it was done, lol. Either there hasn't been too much work done on it quite yet, or they're saving the bulk of new announcement for E3, which makes sense since it's so close and a big event. In any case, I'm sure Nintendo will deliver, but this announcement wasn't anywhere near enticing.

This, I was so excited to dress up my character throughout the game and the dude options ended up being really limited. Hopefully, assuming contests will be making a return, there'll be a lot more of an expansion to customization. I'D ALSO LIKE TO TAKE THE HAT OFF AT ONE POINT. And I can't really see them getting rid of it at this point, 'specially given the overwhelmingly positive fan response to it.

...So apparently all the info on OR/AS in CoroCoro was basically: "HEY GUESS WHAT RUBY AND SAPPHIRE ARE BEING REMADE LOOK AT THIS BOXART DON'T KYOGRE AND GROUDON LOOK DIFFERENT? YEAH COOL WE'LL TELL YOU MORE IN A MONTH KTHX"

Great, awesome. THANKS GUYS. I'm beginning to wonder if GameFreak's keeping some amazing secret about the remakes, or if they just haven't started work on them.

Well, they're scheduled for release in November, and we did get that clip of Groudon and Kyogre emerging from the ocean near what might be Sootopolis City and activating their weather effects; they've definitely started working. I'm just irritated that they aren't telling us any more than that yet.

*sigh* I think I have to address this issue of little to no information being revealed...
Now I can't make a comparison with the first two remakes (FR/LG and HG/SS) on how quick info was released after being announced since I wasn't even into Pokemon when they were released. But I think I need to stress one important thing: it's a remake. Not a brand new region with brand new Pokemon. The original game already exists, so we already know a bunch about it, and hence there really isn't much to reveal that is new. The only thing missing is gameplay footage, which I strongly believe they're purposely waiting for E3 next month to show, hence the little footage we have so far.

This. The lack of info is irking, but Nintendo's E3 digital event is in four weeks (June 10 @ 9 am PDT). It's not too much of a stretch that they're waiting until then to really show off.

...But waiting really isn't very fun. Sigh.

Mostly true. But FR/LG had the Sevii Islands (which moved Moltres's location), and HG/SS added extra characters, smaller areas to tie in with later additions to the series, and re-tuned difficulty levels. And they could always show off some of the old features in their new incarnations, like the Acro Bike and Secret Bases.

Hyped so much for these. I practically died when I saw the announcement. Yeah they're not going to be completely new regions or anything, but after the heartgold and soulsilver games I want this so bad.
