Yeah, it does look fake. But only because the soul and heart symbols are missing.

 

I'm slightly annoyed that they actually got rid of Kris (AKA, the female trainer of Crystal).

I concur. The new trainer looks like she belongs on that Miltank farm near Olivine.

 

Her hat is lame too.

 

I don't think the Lugia/heart symbols are too vital. It just might be they don't matter. -shrugs-

 

Probably not, but i'm used to seeing them now. So it's only natural that the picture looks fake to me.

 

I do sincerely hope Game Freak does not replace those unique Apricorn-made balls from Generation II with the new Poke Balls from Generation III/IV. I would destroy them if they did.

 

Those Apricorn balls were epic. I totally forgot about those. I should get back to playing silver now, actually. Go ROM's. <:

 

I really want a DSi now. I want Silver sooo badly. My life was consumed by this game when I was a little kid.

Also, I kind of like the female trainer's design.

 

I can see they got the female trainer's design basically from the female in Crystal. So it's alright I suppose. I still can't decide between Gold or Silver.

 

You could always play Gold since you've only played Silver so far (to my knowledge). Although they are relatively the same with the exception of the Pokemon.

They would have to explain how they would be in the Johto/Kanto region after being in Sinnoh, seeing as the events for both regions seem to take place at a similar time.
