Pokemon Discussion - Heart Gold & Soul Silver

^Oh man, that sounds stupid.

Think of how hilarious that would be! You're walking down the street with a Lugia following you, and the people around you are just like...:mellow:

 

I'm okay with any pokemon following you, it just seems like it would be hard for them to follow you in some places. o_O

I have a feeling they will not be proportionate.

 

If I find out anything more, Ill post it here. But for now, all I can think of is that there are obvious restrictions. Seaking is an example.

 

I have just seen the website... I don't think I'll buy it. I just don't think it will have that charm of the original Gold/Silver/Crystal games.

 

I just found out their release date in Japan. Supposedly, Its September 12th, 2009. If so, I think it should be here in America by Christmas.

 

As long as I can have my Eevee following me around, I'll buy it. The fact that it's a remake of the two greatest games in the Pokemon series only sweetens the deal.

...i highly doubt itll be out for christmas...more like next year...they always hold out on us for alot longer then just 3 months...

 

Im not really too sure about it being after Christmas. I think it'll end up being a faster translation. Just to sell it in the holiday season. Regardless, Im still getting Soul Silver the day it comes out.

 

Have they given out an official release date yet? It's no where to be found on pokemon.com, so I'm guessing not any time soon...

 

For US, nothing yet. Japan is September 12th, 2009 though.

Any translations on the trailer yet? Kinda curious about what is going on in the last 2/3 of the trailer. Some strange new device and something about Arceus.

 

Well that new thing is the Pokewalker...I would geuss it would help a pokemon somehow...

Oh, and if you trade the Arceus you get, you can unlock something you get from that new pokemon movie and be able to use Dialga, Palkia, and the other pokemon shown..

EDIT: Oh yes, the Arceus is the movie giveaway that you can transfer over, then you can create a lvl 1 mascot of the previous games [either Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina].

The new device is the Poke'walker.

You transfer a Pokemon to it, you walk with it, it gets happy. Nuff said.

 

I'm really glad they're fleshing out the partner system they introduced all the way back in Yellow. It really makes it seem more like the anime alot of us grew up on, when we had whimsical fantasies of running through medows and beside streams, with our trustworthy Pokemon by our side. Yes, those were the days. And we can now do it with every single freaking Pokemon that exists. Ever.

platinum one was because diamond and pearl had the same dialogue
if you pay atencion to the first translation the exclusive platinum dialogues are in japannese

I second this. Why they haven't been using it since Yellow is beyond me.
But hey, it has given Yellow something special.

 

I am disspointed that they don't have a full picture of the Pokemon when you check it's mood. Only a speech bubble above it's head with a smiley face. If they had a picture of each Pokemon smiling or frowning, then this could beat Yellow on the Nostalgia factor..
