Pokemon Discussion - Heart Gold & Soul Silver

I think I know why we're getting remakes. They've run out of legendaries to use. The legendaries have always sufferered power creep, and this just gets more and more obvious as it goes on. Now that they've got it over and done with by making God into a pokemon, they've got a problem. I mean, unless they decide to revive the concept of Pokegods, they've reached the peak.

 

There's (might) going to be a breeding system. By far, these are the best pokemon games, love it.

 

There was a breeding system in the originals as well. >.>

Oh god, Nintendo, if you read this PLEASE stop making new Pokemon. They keep getting weirder and weirder. Find new ideas for the older generation. >:

anyone besides me think its weird that you can catch supposed "god pokemon" looks like they wouldnt be susceptable to their own creations lol....its kinda creepy to think someone catching arceus is really catching the thing that created the entire pokeworld @_@

ANYWAY.
Are they revamping the designs of the Pokemon like they did with FireRed/LeafGreen? Or are they just making them less...pixely?

 

...arceus is THE god legendary of the pokeworld and they werent until the 4th generation...in that EVERY one of them is the god of something...i dont remember if groudon and kyogre from the 3rd generation were suppose to be gods of earth and sea...but i dont think so

 

That's nice.
They're not gods. Just one-of-a-kind Pokemon that are added as a challenge in each game. This is off-topic anyway. : D

My question of revamp or not still stands.

 

actually, it says in Arceus pokedex entry he created the pokeworld and all the legendaries including ho-ho and lugia from one egg hence he is the god of the pokeworld but not ALL the legendaries are gods The poke-gods seem modeled after greek/roman gods where they could have non-god and god children as if its a recessive trait ho-ho,lugia,mewtwo,mew,and the birds can be seen as the hercules etc. of poke-myth

How did they revamp the design in FR/LG?

Oh, well compared to the original, only the core story and gameplay will be the same.

Gold and Silver were the only Pokemon games that you can go to two region.

@Snake - Ah, okay. So that means a Day/Night system and more than one region. Hopefully a radio too, that thing was damn useful. xD

 

I dont know if this was said yet, But any pokemon may follow you. According to more information released, The pokemon following you will be the pokemon in the first slot. It is confirmed Arceus can follow you too.

 

Eeeeeh...interesting but seems repetitive too.A Legendary that large following you around?...Meh.
