Pokemon: Cobalt

"Growlithe,use Ember and burn every leaf that comes your way!"Cade commanded.

Growlithe did as commanded and burned the leaves that came to him.

"Now,Quick Attack!"Cade ordered.

Growlithe ran forward with wicked speed and tackled Grovyle in the chest.

 

Jason watched the steam rise through the air, "Your not half bad Rei!" he smirked. "Squrtile, Continue using Rapid Spin and ram her Torchic!".

Squrtile heard his command and began to spin in place. Then, the turtle Pokemon shot foward, going around the flames and straight towards Torchic.

Meanwhile...

Grovyle! Show 'em your Quick Attack!". With those words Grovyle rammed Growlithe with it's shoulder at even greater speed than his opponent had used.

 

"Thank you!" Rei said. "Torchic, Jump up to dodge it, and point your ember towards the ground!" She told her pokemon.

Torchic pointed it's ember toward the ground and rose in the air, hovering, by using ember.

 

Growlithe flew back,but landed on its feet."Growl!"he growled at his opponent.

Come on..think.. Cade had an idea!"Growlithe,combine both your Ember and your Quick Attack!"

Growlithe spewed fire from his mouth and rushed forward with great speed,coating itself with a protective fire.It rammed into Grovyle,only this time it was a fire move.

 

Squrtile missed, and went through Torchic's ember. The flames licked his shell, but Squrtile was relatively safe.

"Squirts!" Jason yelled, "Use Bubble!".

Squrtile's limbs and head shot out of it's shell and the Pokemon unleased a torrent of bubbles from it's mouth.

Inside...

"Grovyle dodge!" Leader D screamed, but it was too late... Grovyle was down for the count. "Grr..." The Leader growled, "Go Bayleef!". He unleashed the Dinosaur-like Pokemon with a Leaf on it's head onto the platform, "Bayleef, use Magical Leaf!". Bayleef let loose a magical, color changing leaf at Growlithe. It seemed to home in on the fire Pokemon's position.

 

OOC: I thought you said it was one on one..as in one pokemon each,lol.

"Endure it,Growlithe!"Cade shouted.

Growlithe shut its eyes and braced itself.The Magical Leaf hit it dead on,but it was not seriously hurt.

"Return!"Cade said,calling Growlithe back to his pokeball if he needed him later.He took out another pokeball and threw it out into the air."Go,Staravia!"

Staravia arose the the pokeball and flapped its wings,staring down at his opponent.

 

((OOC" Sorry 'bout that...))

"Bayleef, use Ancient Power!" Leader D commanded. Bayleef concentrated and stones rose from the ground and hurled themselves at Staravia.

 

"Double Team,Quick!"

Staravia quickly made clones of his self and the Stones missed him.

 

there's nothing i can do.. Rei thought. "Torchic,endure that one, or dodge it if you can! Couter it with growl and then scratch while its weak!" Rei told Torchic.

Torchic landed right in the path of the bubbles, enduring the attack.

Cm'on girl. Rei thought. Stay in there.

Torchic used growl and then scratch, aiming for squirtle's legs.

 

houndour,dodge the watergun and charge the totodile with leer and ember combo.
*houndour barely misses the watergun and charges with the leer and ember combo at totodile.
good,now with houndour using leer,his totodile will be to distracted to dodge ember.

 

Squrtile was to distracted by Torchic's growl to dodge the scratch attack. "Squrtile!" the tortise Pokemon screeched in pain.

"Squrts, get away from it!" Jason commanded.

Squrtile heeded it's master and jumped backwards, away from the Torchic's attacks.

Meanwhile...

"Bayleef, use Poison Powder!" Leader D commanded. Bayleef complied, scattering the powder over Staravia and it's illusionous copies.

 

Cade didnt have time to shout out a command,the powder had already been layed on Staravia."Shake it off!"

The copies dissapeared and Staravia was back to normal,though now it was trying to shake the powder off before it really did some damage.

OOC: Dunno if you could actually shake it off,but im gonna try xD

It was too late, as the powder had already been absorbed into Staravia's bloodstream. "Alright! Finish 'em off with Iron Tail!" Leader D commanded. Bayleef's tail shone white with energy as it was ready to attack. Bayleef charged foward at great speed and slammed it's tail towards Staravia.

 

Staravia fell to the ground.It had fainted.

"..Darn..''Cade muttered,returning Staravia to his pokeball.He sent out Growlithe again."Growlithe,Quick Attack!"

Growlithe rushed forward and tackled Bayleef in the chest.


OOC: So they're down to their last pokemon now?..or can they use one more? XD

 

((OOC: Last one.))

"Bayleef, dod-!" Leader D started, but it was too late, Growlithe's quick attack sent Bayleef flying to the edge of the platform. Bayleef stood up, ready for one last stand. "Bayleef, use Ancient Power!".

"Baaaaaaaaaayleeeeeeef!!!" The Pokemon screamed sending rocks flying at Cade's Pokemon.

 

"Growlithe,dodge,quick!"Cade shouted

Cade used Growlithe's speed and agility to good use.Growlithe leaped over,ducked,and rolled past incoming rocks,but just a few hit him roughly."..Growl..''it said,standing back up after falling back.

Cade knew he needed to finish this quick."Growlithe,combine Ember and Quick Attack once more!"

Growlithe spewed fire from his mouth once more and rushed toward's Bayleef,as fast as a bullet.

 

The flaming dog Pokemon's attack was a success. "No! Bayleef!" Leader D protested, but it was too late, Bayleef fainted. "Ah well... You win some you lose some... And you just won the Pine Badge kid!" Leader extended his hand, tree shaped badge in it.

 

Cade gladly took the badge."Awesome!I just got the Pine Badge!"he exclaimed cheerfully.

"Pika!"Pikachu exclaimed with him.

Growl!"Growlithe cheered,his tail hanging out of its mouth

OOC: You owe me money and a TM lmao

 

"And here, take this." Leader D handed cade a green disc with 'TM08' on it. "That move is called Magical Leaf. It's nearly unavoidable and does great damage. Like a grass version of Aerial Ace!.".

Cade took the disc."Awesome,thanks!"he said.He said his goodbyes and left the gym to find Jason and another girl battling.While he watched,he placed his Pine badge into his badge case.
