Some of the new Pokémon look great to me, such as Mimikyu, Salandit and Tapu Koko from older updates. Also Litten is my one and only of the starters. Of the ones revealed in the latest trailer (that aren't forms of old Pokémon), I'm especially digging Wishiwashi. The way it goes from a tiny little thing to this huge cluster of awesome makes me happy inside. I do like Pyukumuku as well but my weak stomach prevents me from thinking about it without nearly activating my own variation of the Innards Out ability...without the damage, of course.

The Alolan forms are certainly a cool addition imo. Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash look surprisingly good, Alolan Vulpix/Ninetales are just gorgeous and Alolan Exeggutor...It's just beautiful. Alolan Raichu is simply adorable and I'm loving the amount of sass pouring out of Alolan Meowth. But of all the revealed Alolan forms, Alolan Marowak is my personal favorite. The Ghost typing requires me to love it but the design itself is just awesome. Really digging that flaming bone.

Team Skull...Hoo boy, where to begin. Quite possibly the least intimidating villainous team I've ever seen. I mean, I suppose it's possible that they're not supposed to be intimidating. Like a sort of silly, cartoony villain group that's little more than a small hindrance to the player. The official website seems to imply as much on Team Skull's page. If that's the case, I hope they're at least entertaining to have around in a humorous way. I'm probably overestimating the scale of Sun and Moon plot-wise, but I feel like a team that doesn't pose an actual threat to the region at large is just...boring. That said, I'm gonna stay optimistic and hope that even if Skull aren't out to take over/destroy the world or whatever, their presence will still add to the overall experience of Sun/Moon in a positive way. Plus, despite my complaints about not being intimidating, I do really like the Grunt designs. Female especially.

tl;dr version: Love a lot of the new Pokemon. Litten, Mimikyu, Slandit, Tapu Koko, Wishiwashi and Pyukumuku are my absolute favorites so far even if the last one's ability makes me want to pyuku. Love the Alolan forms, Alolan Exeggutor makes me giggle and Alolan Marowak is badass. Team Skull doesn't seem very threatening but if that's the intent I'm mostly okay with it, especially if they're funny. Hype is real for this generation.

Oh man, Team Skull really is just a group of posers. Well, I have no faith in them now. Also, the name WishiWashi is annoying, but that ability is interesting. I thought it was an evolution, but it looks like it's just an ability that seems to act like an evolution

This may seem a ridiculous concern, but they seem to be revealing things very often lately. It makes me wonder just how many Pokémon this generation has, or whether we'll suddenly get a drop off as the games release gets closer because they've shown everything at that point. I'm sure the XY/ORAS reveals were much more spaced out than this.

Tortonator is an ugly thing, but not in a way that I dislike. It reminds me of Seadra or Dragalge with that snout. More Seadra because of the sharp angles involved in its design. Fire/Dragon is a good typing that I'm glad they're finally using on a regular Pokémon; prior to this only Reshiram and Mega Charizard X had that typing, and with the concern that Mega Evolutions may be removed this Gen it's nice to still have a non-legendary option to make use of it.

Crabrawler is unique. I like it's design, though I doubt I'll ever use it, since it's pure Fighting-type. If anyone was questioning the lack of Water-typing, it's probably because it's based heavily on a Coconut Crab, which are very land-based creatures. It's design is very reminiscent of Glass Joe from Punch Out, so I'd imagine we'll get a bunch of them named after him when the game is out.

Crabrawler and Tortonator seem like they could be single-stage Pokémon, but pretty much everything we've assumed that about has ended up being at least two-stage, so there's no telling whether that's actually the case or not. If I were to make a guess, Tortonator will be single stage due to its resemblance to Druddigon, while Crabrawler probably has an unrevealed pre-evolution yet, as every crab-or-similar-based Pokémon so far have been two-stage.

This new trailer shows that certain Z-moves can be specific to individual Pokémon species, which is interesting, but leaves me somewhat conflicted. I could easily see this taking the place of Mega Evolution completely, but I could also easily see it as a supplemental thing. In addition, having both features would make the metagame more interesting, because you would never know if a Pokémon is running a Mega Stone or Z-crystal.

Rattata looks good in those colours, but the mousetache looks really weird. I'll be interested to see how Alola Form Raticate looks, though I've never really used the species before and I probably will continue to not use it unless its new design somehow really blows me away.

Them making a dark/normal rattata seems kinda pointless. No one used them except as a cut slave I'm sure in the first generation, and just changing it to a dark type doesn't really add much. I'd still say it's going to be used as a HM slave in some way.

Also, having pokemon specific z-moves is going to be kind of annoying, since you'd have to use that one pokemon, and if that pokemon isn't really any good, there's not much point in using it besides the move you can only use once the whole fight. I mean, snorlax is good in single player most of the time, but in multiplayer, it's pretty easy to take down now. And I don't see Raichu going up in ranks even with its own z-move

Of course they're not going to go up in ranks. Nobody expects them to. Their unique Z-move is still just a Z-move of their primary typing, chances are it's just a bit of visual flair for that specific Pokémon. And there's no harm in that. There's already a generic one for each type so if you don't like Snorlax there's no reason to use Snorlax. But for those that do like Snorlax, it's great.

The Pokémon Sun and Moon Super Music Collection, containing 175 tracks, will be released on iTunes this November for $9.99, with individual tracks on the album available for $0.99 each.

Also, the Korean Rating Board has published a rating for Pokémon Sun & Moon Special Trial Version, indicating that we may get a demo not unlike the one we got for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Now it's getting interesting. I wonder what those Ultra Beasts are about and what they mean by "threat". And I kind of like how they use the camera, but at the same time, it doesn't really do much except zoom in and out. At least the ones in X/Y did a little more than that.

Also, no love for new raticate.

A new Japanese trailer came out, including a couple of interesting tidbits!

Firstly, you may have noticed a character with a remarkable similarity to Professor Oak--this character is Samson Oak, the Professor's cousin, who researches Alolan formes of Pokémon.

The second note of interest is one of the text boxes featured in the trailer, a line being spoken by a character named Burnet. And unless there's a new character being introduced with that name, then we're seeing the character from Pokémon Dream Radar cross over into the main series!

The next batch of news for the game will come at 9am EDT on September 14!

CoroCoro has released with a few new reveals!

Rockruff's evolution is named Lugarugan! Lugarugan has a different form depending on whether it evolves at day or night.

There are also two new Ultra Beasts-- UB-02 Expansion, and UB-02 Beauty. The magazine shows UB-02 Expansion facing Tapu Koko in Sun, and UB-02 Beauty facing Tapu Koko in Moon.

UB-01's name is said to be a mystery, but may have deep meaning. The magazine teases showing Type: Null's true power in the next issue.

What do y'all think of the new 3DS XL for Sun/Moon? Says it's available for purchase on October 28, 2016.

I love it honestly. ;-; And I'm in need for a new 3DS anyways, and I might honestly buy this one.[DOUBLEPOST=1473817678][/DOUBLEPOST]EDIT:

Turns out the price is $199.99 and they have a bundle for if you purchase Sun and Moon together (or the bundle) for $79.99 and it includes a double sided poster. The bundle also comes with a code for 100 pokeballs for each game.
