Pokémon Generation 5: Games Revealed!

I just found out on Serebii and i'm smurfing speechless! I feel weird, three on three battles? What's next? A six on six battle?

And my hopes for new awesome Pokemon like Zorua, Zoroark and Hihidaruma are now fading away. WTF! A sarcophagus Pokemon?! Obviously it is a ghost type but..., eh most likely it will be in the desert.

Not to mention the "shoot" command...

Contrary to the current state of the pokemon, I do believe Issun as a whole appears relatively lovely. If Game Freak is able to place the camera angles properly and such then it would certainly be amazing to stroll through Hiun, more so than any other Pokemon game - and this is already held in high hopes.

I do believe the roller coaster gym may possibly be evident of our first Dark-type gym.

 

Didn't think of it actually but it seems rather possible for it to be ground/ghost.

As interesting as it would be to actually get a dark type gym i'm still not sure if this is actually a gym and not some sort of mini game in the festival area that appears in the map.

 

so they've released some new stuff out. Bunch of new pokemon too. In the most recent updates i can see the 2nd stage evolutions of the water and grass starter.

Holy cow! So that picture is actually real?! It's been a week since we found out and everyone was debating on the authenticity of it. I didn't think it was real as Tsutarja's evo seems, well, a bit lame ad fake.

i'm assuming the weather is there so you know its there...that way they don't have to sit there and make you have to rapidly hit A while the game tells you that its raining in a text box

 

Another confirmation on new pokemon. The weird fluffy bat thing was in a video and a poster shows another pokemon that was on the beta thing.

More new Pokemon

That weird Pokemon underneath Koromori looks like it's freaking crazy. It's quite creepy. And is is only me or that hawk like Pokemon seems too American?

I wonder what's with that "N" character and his Rubik cube. Reminds me of Yu-gi-oh GX @.@

 

That cube thing might be to symbolise 3D, possibly meaning that N might have something to do with a 3D part of the game. Like that Giratina world part with the whole walking on walls and ceilings thing but different.

 

Wooguru is possibly the best new pokemon I have seen in this whole B/W thing. Birds seem to be the only thing that they don't do too bad on.

 

Considering the region is indeed based on a particular conglomeration of locations on the east coast of the United States it would make quite a bit of sense for there to be a Pokemon based around the eagle - the Pokemon that is "too American".

Judging simply from N's aesthetics, I presume him to be either the rival character or the leader/general member of the evil team of Isshu, unless I am horribly mistaken in some sort of information which I have overlooked.

I personally prefer large metropoleis over forests which may contribute to my choice of Pokemon Black over White, however I would suppose I should not assume immediately.

Clearly Black City is City 17 and White Forest is the actual resistance base in question.

 

Question. How com there isn't a pure flying pokemon? why do they have to make it part normal?

 

Got to agree with Reptar. Wooguru is one of the best new pokemons that I've seen for this generation. I'm liking Minezumi as well. I wonder type it is. N looks interesting and I wonder how he'll fit into the game.

 

I would presume the "Flying" type would refer to the direct action of flying itself - or rather the ability of an object to fly. The possible reason most "bird Pokemon" are part Normal is due to the "object" in question being simple or normal in its current state whilst possessing the ability to fly, hence its "Flying" sub-type. Thus, there can be no Pokemon as a pure Flying-type unless Game Freak decides to create Pokemon out of direct verbs.

I must say that I am not a particular fan of the geographical outlook of the region at this particular point - certain terrain and environmental features appear "stuffed in" or out of place, but perhaps I am assuming upon the basis of what the previous Pokemon regions have appeared to be.

Also isn't there gonna be places that are only in certain versions. Wouldn't there be 2 maps then?

 

The new girl looks wierd. Her hair is crazy. Why is it that the starting water pokemon is always the cutest and the grass one looks wierd?

 

Whaat? Grass starters are damn cute as well. Okay Treecko does look a bit strange but Turtwig and Bulbasaur! Not to mention Chickorita!

But yeah in this gen Mijumaru is the cutest despite his stoic/grumpy expression.

Rumour has it that White forest and Black City will be areas which can only be reached using the airport so they might not be on the main map (which is slightly bigger than the one that What? posted). But as i said it is only one of the many rumours out there.

Anyone else wonder about the Live Caster and Pass by features? I do not own a DSI so i won't be able to use Live caster by boy i don't understand how a video chat will work while in the game.

 

There's only been one grass pokemon which was my favourite which was Chikorita. I'll probably end up picking the fire one. I'm glad that they're expanding the game play like that, except, I'm gonna need a new stylus, I lost mine.
