Pokémon Generation 5: Games Revealed!

Trickery still succeeds in confusing me with its ability but I may attribute this to a simple tiredness of mind.

From what I have noticed the names have been abused in every single marginally large Pokemon community, including forums and websites which are not primarily focused on Pokemon.

 

They just released the pictures of the new legendaries. I don't know which one to pick. They're both awesome.

Interestingly, the black legendary is apparently the mascot for White Version, and vice versa.
I like Reshiram, it looks like majestic, except its wings look superfail.

Pretty much like my guess a while back. These Japanese are so easy to read, you always know if it's black and white, they'll usually have something black in the white and something white in the black. Pokemon is no different if this is true.

 

Holy Merlin's pants! The new legendaries! Is it only me or they look as if they came from a mecha anime? And what are those things behind them? Turbines...? O.o

I was planning on getting the white version but that Zekrom dude... =/

Nothing we haven't seen before, but you can hear the music more clearly, and it sounds great.

 

The legendary Pokemon appear rather interesting. I would assume that Reshiram holds the Flying-type as some sort of possibility observing its general aesthetic.

Notice, also, the containment of the respective Japanese words for "white" and "black" - shiro and kuro, within the names of the legendaries, albeit in condensed versions. A simple tidbit, I would suppose.

It appears that they have changed the buildings yet again. I am generally accepting of it, more Art Deco is always quite lovely in such burgeoning metropoleis.

EDIT: The legendaries have indeed been confirmed to have at least one of their types as that of the Dragon-type.

 

there's a rumor that one of them is part electric. Also for some reason they're part dragon. Not that we've ever seen a legendary dragon b4...

 

Actually Jazz Art if we assume that Issun is based on USA and especially Hiun on New York XD Sorry i just study a lot of architecture lately.

Anyway that mistake(?) that Nakagawa did made everyone in Serebii go nuts. Now most of the members there, are convinced that Zekrom is Dragon/Electric. I don't believe it until official confirmation.

Also, i think that Reshiram could be part ice.

 

I get the feeling that the white one might possibly be a new type if they create one, otherwise, it'll probably be psychic since they like repeating Legendary types .-. I mean, we need more dragon types and they keep giving us the same old legendaries after Gen II but with different pictures on them.

 

I would debate over the architecture of the city but this is certainly not the place to do so.

Relevantly, the Electric Zekrom is indeed a rumour, yes - but taking into account the "turbine" mentioned previously on the thread as on the backside of the creature, along with the general streamlined figure, we may not place an Electric type out of the question. It is still however, a rumour, and Nakagawa may have attempted to imply something else with the pairing of her love of Electric-types and wishing to play the role of Zekrom.

 

*eyes the announcement of brand new pokemon like it's the coming of apocalypse*

Okay, I was happy and enthusiastic until that line. No, no, no, no!!! There is NO WAY IN HELL I'm going to get a another game with more pokemon to catch. I didn't even like D/P because of how many frigging unoriginal, stupid, lame ass excuses they had for the pokemon and how much time and headaches you spent on them.

Sorry for the bashing, but I have had it. I loved G/S/C, favorites. I loved R/B/Y. R/S/E, I tolerated. D/P I didn't even get halfway through. It's too much, unless they do major renovations including bringing back the rivals you love to hate and Team Rocket into it's former glory amongst other things, I'm not buying the game.

 

Someone loves classics a bit too much. I found D/P/Pt more fun not in originality but in the way I could connect with others. All Pokemon games before these you had to have a cord and you had to travel or have friends who also had the game. I'll never hate Pokemon.

 

New CoroCoro scans released. We now have our first female professor to give the character a pokemon. No new info other than that, but we now have a bunch of new pictures of future pokemon.
But they all look stupid :/

The bird which is probably going to be this generation's incarnation of pidgey/swellow/starly is being shown, as well as a mouse that's probably going to be this generation's incarnation of ratatta/sentret/bidoof. We also have a fire ape (as if we haven't seen that before), an alligator (as if we haven't seen that before), a zebra (that looks an awful lot like girafarig), some floating gear things, and....i don't even know wtf to make of that pink thing.
We can also see the new pokedex. Yay.

Wow, that was...unexpected.

But, I agree with you on some things. I do want this game though...I'm excited for the sprites, and it's been a while since I've played pokemon, but this got me excited like a child xD.

btw, is that woman the new professor? Because by the looks of it, she seems to be. As for the new gen pokemon...after so much milking, do you think there's going to be much originality?

Zoroa, and evolution look like Lucario and...well, we're pretty much getting the same pokemons with different sprites, but they move now!!! so we're instantly hooked to buy exact re-incarnations of the same thing. Oh well, I'm still getting it.

With all the new features I featured originality might be one of them. Oh well.

 

HOLY CRAP, ORIGINALITY HAS GONE SO FAR OUT THE WINDOW I MIGHT AS WELL JUST MAKE A GAME CALLED MANPOKE ABOUT GODZILLA CAPTURING DIFFERENT HUMANS TO COLLECT THEM ALL AND FINALLY BEAT HIS RIVAL MOTHRA.

I mean, those are probably the most unoriginal yet. That black and white zebra-like thing with a lightning bolt on it's head is a blatant ripoff of a hell of a lot of Digimon (the list is enormous) and those two gears look like two repainted Hagurumon.

 

Well, that's true too, but they also look like re-paints of girafarig, and there's another pokemon that is gear-like...I can't be bothered to learn the names of so many re,re,re-hashes. And of course who can forget the rat and the bird? It's a signature thing, but at least this one isn't as gag-inducing as bidoof's face was.

 

Glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking that.

Also...a chinchilla thing? What's it gonna do, give me allergies? Sand Attack!?
