Pokémon Generation 5: Games Revealed!

There's some in HGSS too. The only ones I've seen are Silver saying "Why so serious?" and the pokeathlon guy saying "A winner is you?!"

 

Well, I'd maybe like to see it set up more like the underground in DPP. where you move around on the bottom screen, but actually using the touchscreen to control the character.(like in The World Ends With You)

The handheld games finally went 3D. I'm really liking the new look.

 

Is it just me or is Nurse Joy not pink haired anymore?

And the PC looks like the phones in the show.

Anyways, I like the look. 3D ain't bad

 

Hmm. Not bad if I do say so myself.

What concerns me know is if this will be a 3DS exclusive now, because something tells me this won't translate well to prior DS models.

 

It should, seeing as Distortion World on Platinum had 3D aspects and all.
But anyways, seens rather nice, i wonder if they'll change something in battles as well.

 

It has been confirmed that the game will be released for the Nintendo DS.

Relevantly, I am itching to take a look at the new battle system.

One of the pictures showed the full sprite of the player's pokemon from the back instead of just the head.
I hope that's for the whole battle and just not when the pokemon pops up.

 

It'll probably be for when it pops up with the message box appearing over it's lower half unless they've moved the entire message box to the touch screen, which would be fantastic.

 

The city looks damn nice.

I just hope it doesn't cut the connection to other games now, i don't wanna loose all those hours of breeding for ivs X_X

 

I would assume it will still be able to trade with the previous Generation IV games as it is still on the same handheld system; you have no need to worry.

Wow. I hope it's gonna be a scooter. Or a segway. That would just be awesome.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if it was roller skates as an alternative to the running shoes

 

Everything from DPPt and up has been rendered in 3D; they just made very minimal use of the tech. It was featured in gyms and, as has been said, the Distortion World. Now it seems they're completely making the jump to this new angle. I'm liking it so far.

Guys, you're all missing the most obvious answer. You'll be able to ride your Pokemon! Duh.

Also, the 3D buildings seem very bad. Hopefully the graphics will be polished. A lot. And i can't say i really like the battle screen.

As excited as i am for this game, the first pics make me worry.

Why are they releasing this on DS again...?

 

Anybody predicting a grey version? I'm predicting more than 100 pokemon. If we get more than 100 new pokemon. I will personally make a code or something that edits the game and have the new professor say something "Do you have the attention span to catch em all? Yes, I'm ripping my girlfriend's joke :/
It took me 3 months just to get the all 493 legit. I had to transfer a crap load of pokemon from my girlfriend's pokemon games and clone them. It was just in December that I finally got a legit Arceus.

As for the evil team. I'm hoping for a Cole/Balthazor thing. The evil team's leader helps you throughout the game, becoming your friend and all the other crap that Cole did but child-friendly. Just to have him turn teams and beat the living crap out of his teammates

His second-in-command betrays him and you double battle with the team leader as your partner.
OR
The evil team leader thing same as above but is the champion as well.

 

I think that it's been confirmed by the creators that there's going to be over 100 new Pokémon. Though I'm probably one of the few who actually like the idea of hundreds of Pokémon. 150 is good but adding a lot more gives players a good variety to choose from to create a team and battle. I liked having 493 Pokémon available, and having possibly 600 or more would be awesome. Plus, it adds much more of a challenge to the game in terms of completing the Pokédex. I already know I'm going to be using Zoroark in my next team.

As for the next version, I'm not going to make any predictions or bets. But I will say that "Gray Version" seems to be the most probable of all other options. It fits perfectly with Black and White just as Yellow did with Red and Blue.
