I always thought N was his full name. And I'd say Team Plasma is more dressed like pirates than ninjas. But yeah, it would be cool if you could fight against Cheren plenty of times again. Actually, if they did that, it would make it the first pokemon game that the gym leader leaves and you battle him more than once during the story.

Everybody know N is the older version of Near from Death Note with green hair. He went LittleKoribo with the green hair. But on another note. I believe it would be great for the series to allow a gym leader to have more importance then just, I battled you once and now its over, or thanks for helping me by standing there. Cheren would be nice to fight again getting stronger each time you face him once more.

Well they did do that in Black and White. Maybe not as much as you suggested but they were into the story more than previous games. You could see they were trying to do the same thing in Platinum. Still though the Elite Four were left out.

The Elite four never have been really important which is depressing. The games just treat them as bosses before the final boss who doesn have importance. More love for the Elite beat four people people.

They tried giving Flint some personality but it doesn't work if you don't even show the rest. Also I liked how they had a reason for Alder to not be at the Elite Four. Better than Steven who just did nothing.

not true, he loved digging with a passion. And Cynthia was always gone from the pokemon league looking for ancient stuff, and Lance wasn't always in the pokemon league either. True you don't meet him till later, but that's beside the point.

Sadly though Lance didn't really do anything except show you the Rocket base and tell you you needed two passwords.

yeah I know. But at least they gave him a nice remix in HGSS. And technically Blue did something, even though he wasn't champion till you fought him in the pokemon league.

Yes but every time I fight him or Red I always use the item that plays the old music. So much nostalgia. Also doesn't that make Blue the first champion ever? What did they do before? Just have 4 people be the best?

That's what I've always wondered. Ever since the first game there's always been a champion, but in the first generation when you beat Lance he says you would be the champion if Blue didn't beat them already, which means there probably wasn't a champion beforehand, because I'm sure the champion is the one that says you are now the champion. And heck, even in Gold and Silver we get Oak saying that Red is the strongest trainer even compared to Lance, and stuff like that, and he's technically still the Champion, Lance is just filling in. But in R/S/E, D/P/Pt, and Black/White we've gotten actual champions so far. So it's kinda weird when you think about it

Technically 1st and 2nd gen have the same Elite Four. The other regions that are farther away have their own league.

Yeah, I did find that strange. I mean, why is it they're 2 separate regions, and yet it's the only 2 that share the same elite four and champion. It's kinda strange. And then there's places like Orre.

Not every place needs a pokemon league. Still though, is there any point to there being one?

Don't you remember the theme song?
"I wanna be the very best" remember? And the champion is the best. So beat the champion and you're the best. I'm sure that's what they're insinuating...maybe

So then we can surmise that pokemon battles and tournaments are a form of entertainment. Like sports.

The theme song basically tells what the game is suppose to be about. face every challenger, be the very best, collect every pokemon, defend the world against team rocket.

What, you mean you never considered it as such? I always considered it as a sort of sport, in a sense. I mean, think about it, all the people in that world that are trainers collect pokemon and fight, and they even broadcast the battles when they're major, for crying out loud. You could call it an extreme sport if that makes it any better. I wouldn't say it's not entirely not a sport.

N's full name is Natural Harmonius Gropius, or something. Anyway, I see this new professor with the ****ed up bangs isn't exactly "evil," but an anti-hero. Like, he's not working for Plasma, but he still has malicious goals with good intents (maybe he actually wants to separate Pokemon and humans, but not to rule over both worlds? I can see him working with N, if that's the case
