Implemented Poetry subforum?

Well, basically what the title says.

The Creativity Corner has been getting a lot of poems lately. Since poems are short and do not update, they easily fade to the back of the CC in place of stories that do.

I don't know, I'm probably not thinking of the cons for this, but it seems to me like a good idea.

I think its a good idea. There have been alot of poems lately, they should get thier own section.

 

I agree. I write alot of poems myself. And the poems are backing up the CC. All those other storys, are like, never being read really. =/

 

Yeah I don't want to go to a story thread thinking it's a poem thread.

This is not a good idea...it is a FANTASTIC idea!

My poems are always being lost amonst fan-fics etc and I know a lot of other people's are too!

I am fully behind this idea ^^ I really hope it goes ahead :)​

 

I guess I see the pros of this..

AMVs have their own section, so I don't see why poems shouldn't.

 

Werent we going to have an orginal works section, and a fanfic section?

Rosey, I really don't really see a point to an Original Works section. ._.

But this suggestion is cool. *shrug* It would make it cleaner.

 

Just as long as it isn't all whinny, teen angst it sounds like a pretty decent plan. I'll also have a place to shack up my every-now-and-then brain farts instead of placing them in the spam zone.

But I have to agree with white_rook. I'm not too keen on the idea of having a section of teen angst.

But if it's well written poems, I don't see why they should have to be lost among fanfiction.

 

Even though i don't like poetry that much,i still find it a great idea.It would seem much more organised this way...

 

Sometimes it's nice when your really quite stressed and you just want a calm poem to read- no one can be bothered to go dish out a random poem book from the shelf or dig deep into the Creativity corner. I'm right behind you!

Im still just more for an orginal works section. Including Poems, Songs, Other pieces of writing, and then all fanfiction in the main forum.

 

Poetry is a type of writing, I see no point in separating it, however I can'tdeny this because it has too many likes.

 

I would be for the idea. It seems that if the poems are getting lost adrift all of the other topics, it might be a neat way of collecting them. Sure, I don't read teenage angst poetry either, but I don't decide what people do poetry about. It sounds like quite a few people like to read and write poetry so if it is going to get this sort of attention, I don't see why it can't have its own sub-forum in the creativity area.

I don't see why not. Sometimes when I am in the mood to read some, I can go to a section where they are, and read them. And so I don't have to search.

I'm all in support for the idea. Mainly because there've been so many poems submitted lately, it's been shoving all the works of fiction that have at least two chapters onto the second or third pages in the Creativity Corner.

Personally, I'm usually worried that a great story in the works (whether it be mine or a friend's) will be pushed out of view with all the poem submissions that come in.

But it's got my vote!...

...Wait a minute. Back in the old forums didn't we use to have a sub-forum like that? I haven't been here that long, but I swear I've seen something like that somewhere...

 

Great idea, I have writted some poems, so I agree with this.
