Well, February was a short month. Maybe that's why we didn't get too many entries. Not that I blame you though. Garfield once that "February is the Monday of months" and right he was. Anyway...

PAW wins this month's contest. And no, we didn't look at how much he wanted to win. We just appreciated his take on the theme, as he used the classic "knight" concept in a completely different context. It had a very somber tone to it too, and the pun title was the icing on the cake.

This month's theme is Childhood. Good luck with it!

Well done PAW...I'll edit this post later on but right now I'm behind my parents backs so it'll have to wait.

    Painful childhood
Looking back I picture the time I wasted.
Sitting alone crying, wishing to be like everyone else.
Such a sweet mind, contrasted with the taste of salty tears.
Painful to my mind like the rusty steel on belts.

Feeling love, but craving so much more.
I hated emotion, yet I could not get enough.
So much to endure, even to this day I'm still stuck in the core.
Sometimes I can not even ask for a hug, life so rough.

So even as I go through the teens.
I'm still walking on forever and ever.
    The painful road is narrowing.
Slowly these chains around me sever.

So that brings us to now, looking back.
Sitting alone, it is something to brood.
Waiting for a way out of this black.
One day I can say goodbye to this dark childhood.

    Hahaha... Oh the 9-irony...
The one time that I start, with a bleeding heart...
    hey that rhymed!
Anyway thanks judge/s, I'm glad you liked it. And again thanks to you guys who supported me.
Wait, now I sound like I'm acepting an award... XD

Anyway, this month... Childhood? Hmm, not my speciality but an attempt is worth it. Will place it up before the month is out.

P.S. How many judges are there and who are they exactly? I've known that judges have changed since around two years ago, so I don't know who is currently holding the rank.

    Happy go lucky

    You weren't planned
    But you were loved,
When you came to your first true home
You thew up on the door step
    Ha, you were always nervous

Friends emerged, and then they left,
Clouded was the future, in a thick fog
    I asked how you knew,
just what to say, and what to do,

We're measuring the width of your apartment,
How time can fly for my little baby,
    Curtains, carpet and cooking
We never use to talk about this
    stuff in the afternoon,

It's about letting go, as you choose
your own path ahead, as time flew,
I never knew, you'd be the person
The child, I would bring the world

I'll leave this open and treat this as April's contest as well. It's kind of hard to judge when there are only two participants. So come on people! We need your help here! Show us your talent.

    EDIT:
    Can't keep this open forever.
