Sorry this is late, folks, there was a lack of communication between Styx and I.

Without further ado, the winner of last month's contest was Chevalier with his poem One Along.

There was some beautiful vocabulary used and the message of the poem subtly hidden within italics (which I haven't replicated because I'm running out of time to post, d'oh). There was also enjambment used in a way that seemed natural; you are led to believe the poet created the poem effortlessly. Good work.

This month's theme is Changing Seasons. Closing date is the end of the month, naturally.

    Good luck, gang. <3

    It is just another year
    Just another summer
    I'm not going anywhere
    At least not this summer

    Just like the winter before
    Walking through the cold door
    Time and again
    It's just another season

    I'm not going anywhere
    The autum is almost here
    Just gotta go through summer
    So I'm not going anywhere

    Just like the spring yesterday
I only have to look away
    For a moment or two
And everything will be different anew

So when will I ever get away
    From this old farm
Where the only thing to do
    Is watch the changing seasons

Wow, I won? I actually thought Kairi9hearts9 would blow me away, but I actually won.

Well, I don't know if I'll partake in this month, but good luck to everyone, and may the best poet win.

The original poem was much better but when I tried posting it...It died...So this is similar...But I don't think it's as good but hey I tried.
EDIT: Another thing that died when I first tried to post was my congratulations to Chevailer...Very well done on the poem it was great man :D

    flowers, people, leaves and snow.
Closing my eyes smelling the Roses.
Entranced by the beaty of the Tulips.
Dancing through the field of Daisies with a spring in my step.
Enhanced by the fresh air of the first season.
From Roses and Orchids turn to Asters and Carnations.

The summer temperature is up there, the beach awaits.
People meeting, making new friends in the quest to turn brown.
People greeting the calm sea breeze and sound of waves.
The heat makes everything seem more beautifull than usual.
From heat and people to cool winds and bright colourull variations.

The heat is gone, but still autumn is my favourite season.
The leaves falling from the heavens, like the feathers of an angel.
The "crunch crunch" of the leaves beneath my feet is melodious to my ears.
The cold wind stroking my hair makes me smile warmly.
From bright trees and musical crunches to Beautifull white snow and cold expectations.

Temperatures less than low, time for hats and gloves.
Outside into the brilliant white romantic snow with mist in our breath.
We laugh and play with snowballs feeling good against the skin.
We slip and slide through the ice falling in love with winter
From romantic white snow and laughing to melting snow and flowers.

Closing my eyes smelling the Roses.
Entranced by the beaty of the Tulips.
Dancing through the field of Daisies with a spring in my step.
Enhanced by the fresh air of the first season.
From Roses and Orchids turn to Asters and Carnations...

    Changing Seasons

    In our white abandon,
we laid against the cold, fluffy clouds.
    Our faces were placid,
    the scenery,
    calm.
    I could hear your pulse,
    beating,
    breathing,
giving warmth to the life that laid dormant
    in us.
Even in the ground's icy freeze,
    flowers began to grow.

    It was now Spring.
A time of growth for the flowers,
    that bloom around us.
Yet, it is also a time of mild death.
With our winter abyss a dismal memory,
    we sit in the grass,
    my eyes obscured from yours
by the weeds that come and go.
    As the sun gets higher,
the knit of weeds grow tighter.

    The summer air now sings,
    with flowering fables.
    You let out a sigh,
    as I half-smile.
"It's time for me to go".
    Words so light and delicate,
like the leaves falling now from the trees.

    With the advent of fall,
    the flowers and weeds shrivel,
    allowing our sights,
    to rest upon the other.
    "How do you do?"
    Words filled with joy,
    yet a hidden icy cool.
    It makes me wonder,
    what do we really feel?

White flakes fall from the clouds.
    Our white abandon
    finally returned.
    I look to you,
    as you look to me.
    We smile with warmth,
    in contrast to our hearts:
    as dying and frightful,
as the dried weeds beside us.

That's all well and good...But the theme this month is changing seasons...I don't see anything that even suggests seasons

    Cyclical

Spring is blooming with the flowers,
    And love cannot be constrained.
It all starts with words that sing like the birds
    And feelings that I will never be the same;
    And everything's changed.

    Spring intercesses to Summer,
    And love will forever remain.
    Hearts beat to the rhythm of laughter and glee;
Lying down in the grass in that beautiful plain
    And nothing has changed.

Summer gives way to the Fall,
And with it our love starts to change.
    You gave it all up and I fell with the love;
I fell into sadness, despair and disdain,
    All in your name.

    Fall intercedes into Winter,
And the frostbite reminds me of pain.
Your whispering words that sing like the birds
Are gone with the Fall, and nothing remains.
    And I feel the same.

Winter leads back to the springtime,
    And love cannot be constrained.
It all starts with words that sing like the birds
    And feelings that things I will never be the same;
    And everything's changed.

    X Days Left

This leaf is not coping well,
Despite seeing spring turn to summer.
The shift makes fate look all the dumber:
    Stubbornly reviving a verdant shell
    Around a single person's hell.
This leaf dies young, what a bummer...

Should I struggle or undergo it all?
    This visible loss of reason,
    This visceral change in season...
    Bleak skies should foreshadow fall,
    My fall...
But outside summer skies are still a teasin'.

But this leaf still has places to go,
Even if leaves are of significance devoid.
In my recent nightmares I have seen
A destiny I wish to avoid:
To turn rotten before passing green,
To shrivel before my chance to grow.

Don't ask this sore leaf why or how
But the weather means so little now.
I just ask for all the seconds I can get.
Wind be still, be still as death.
I hear your whistle and beg your breath
Not to scrape me off this tree just yet.
