Ok, I am not back, I am still on break, but I promised you guys this <3

    <3

Winner of January's contest is Spunk Ransom with this piece of work, it flows nicely and I like the idea, the only thing that was a slight concern is that some of the rhyming seems a little forced.

Ms Scarlet and Fayt, yours were very close <3

Theme for February: well I am pretty sure that it is a repeat, but hey its Valentines Day in a couple of weeks and I am in a romantic mood, so lets see what you can do with Love and Romance

    Deadline: February 28th

    Results: March the 2nd

    Good luck loves <3

    See you around.

    Midnight promise
    The seconds tick by.
    A special day aproaches.
How do I say what needs to be said?
What gift is special enough for your perfection?
Flowers are pretty and they smell nice.
So similar to you yet you are so much better.
My love is hard to explain.
It doesn't have a need to be understood.
I do have a very strong desire for you to love me.
I just want you to know your love is you choice.
I just want you to be happy.
Its the only thing in the world.
Now finally the clocks all chime together.
    The sound beautiful.
I prefer your voice any day.
Now before midnight is over I'm making you this promise.
I have loved you the instant I saw you.
    I am yours for eternity.

EDIT: The reason I bolded the letters A M and Y Is because I'm crazy in love with a girl named amy. The poems for her.

    Angel Wings ~

I was alone; a broken girl,
Aching wounds, no more tears to cry,
Until you took my hand in yours
And lifted me into wide blue sky.
You showed me love; and showed me joy,
    Caressing touches healed my heart,
You kissed me softly with caramel lips
And promised we would never part.
Whispered promises; I fell for you,
To say those three good words was such bliss,
Enchanted, I waited under the willow each night
For comforting words and a sweet kiss.
You guided me; lead me through life,
Almost unbelievable, I feel I could fly,
Maybe; I wonder as you take me in your arms
Are yours angel's wings that lift me in the sky?

The timing doesnt feel right >_<
But unconventional is okay...right? Right? *tumbleweed*

Meh, I couldn't conjure up anything this time i'll just leave this gibberish here. As you can tell this is my weak point topic XD

    Upon wings of glistening gold.
    A chariot takes them away.
    Far across the sea below,
    Hearts escape the bay.

    Arrows shoot in every light,
    Eyes are opened wide,
    Catching gazes every night,
    Love is on both sides.

    meh

    Friends, that is all

    I look at you
    And I see, a friend
    Loyalty & kindness
    Lasting till the end

I remember when you liked me,
You offered to carry my bag
    The truth back then was,
    Love made me gag!

    Now were older...
    Can you imagine?
    If we were something more
    Just friends is just boring
It would make my heart sore

    If that were to happen
And no one made a scene
    Like Romeo and Juliet
    A secret in between

    I’d have someone to love
    On Valentines Day
    Someone who feels about me
    In the exact same way

    If we were to fight
And our relationship was to break
    We wouldn’t speak anymore
And my heart would just ache

    It’s settled...
So we’ll go on a date
And I’ll give you a call
    But for the time being,
    We’re friends, that is all

If I have a better one later, I'll post it. for now, that's attempt number 1.

    Valentines day poem!

    My life moves fast.
    Way too fast.
    I haven't found the one.
    The one that would,
    be there when I cry.
The one who would never let me die.
But I'll just keep searching fast,
    until the end.

    Yesterday,
    I saw the one.
    The boy from my dreams.
    He had blue eyes,
    blond hair
    and the sweetest smile.
    But does he like me?
    That's the question,
I really need an answer for.

    I saw him again.
    This time alone.
    Not with friends.
    I froze like stone.
    He walked to me.
    Smiling like the sun.
    I began to think;
    He's the one.

    I'm in my room.
    Brushing my hair
    and trying to find,
    the cutest wear.
    He had asked me out,
    on a dream date.

    After our date.
    He kissed me good bye.
And gave me some blueberry pie!!
    PIE!

    Have a delicious Valentines day!!!

K here's one of my good poems that i recently wrote about someone i care about. hope its good enough! :D

    FAITH
There are three words that so many poems are written about
So many, innumerable ballads and pleas sung passionately
Lives and deaths lain out in the name of a simple phrase
A different saying for those that actually mean the words

Yet we, my love, have mastered that mountain already
We have been able to speak those three words easily
Our love, no matter how strong, can still be tested...
But it is only treated so to make it ten times stronger

Now other impediments stand in our paths
The light of faith's sun snuffed by heavy, doubtful clouds
Clouds of ignorance, rain of anger, and a mist of jealousy
And it becomes so hard to see that in front of us

But there is one faith that ties us inseparably
No faith of a church, mosque, temple, or chapel can hold
A faith that, dare I say, is much stronger...
And that is our mutual faith in each other

My path of life is not clear and never will be
The constant labyrinthine ways cannot be solved
Too many choices, hardships, conflicts, and obstructions are there
I scarcely know which way to turn or stumble

Yet I have one light, one luminous hope I cling to constantly
One person who can catch my arm in the cloudy dark
You are there, my love, to be my only hand and heart
And, more importantly, our faith in US is there always as well

That is all the reassurance I needed then, now, always. You and me... US.

I forgot about this contest D:

Is it okay that I wrote the poem on another thread? xD

I kinda didn't see this 'till after.

Is it okay if the poem is kinda about love, but more...like being broken hearted, or longing?

    My Entry:

    Maelstrom

Sitting there, lost amongst the dialect of phrases,
my eyes are prone to wander.
A glance is all I dare to steal away,
A whispers more than I deserve.

Suns and moons entwine the sky
As customers sweep the pebbled shore,
    Eroding pocketbooks and expanding girths.
Behind the counter your ginger eyes ingest the sea.

Children screech, removing you from your slumber,
Serenading the café booths with ease, juggling wit and requests.
Your course leads you past my starboard,
I work to fashion courage forth, to introduce my name.

What’s in a name aside from glyphs and curves,
An honor and a curse, lost amongst the shawls of my past.
To be given merit, I like how it chimes,
Yet your answer is my desire.

Years I’ve came into port here
Each day your aura bewitches my soul,
Filling my life with cautious jubilance
Yet you know nothing of this, for my name is still my own.

To announce the feelings hidden within my chest,
Would air on lunacy, off settling.
How can one feel amored without saying a word?
    The answer is singular.

My feet set course toward your station,
Slipping between skippers and decorated commands.
You take my check with a cornered smile, enough to make me crack:
“My name is Hawkins. I’d like to ask you out.â€

Your face reddens as you sweep a girlish grin into the background,
But the wheels are turning behind her stonewall teeth.
She twirls a pen beside my receipt, her eyebrows raise playfully.
    “Mr. Hawkins, call me Elizabeth.â€

    Finding You

People told me you were dead
    But I needed proof
    So I started a Journey
    Finding You

    I walked a thousand miles
    But all I found were
    Traces

    I never gave up hope
I knew you were out there
    I just had to
    Prove it

    My answer was always Dead-ends
    I was so confused
    But so sure

    Something kept pulling me back
    was it fear
    that you might be
    Dead

One day I found a letter from you
You told me you were dead
and that was all you said

What people said was the truth
    I has Proof
    So I ended my Journey
    Finding You
