He's been again
In the night
Painting windows
Sparkling white.

Silver trees
And frosty paths
Crystal footprints
Spiky grass.

Spiders' webs
Of wintery lace
Jack frost's touch
In every place.

 

Once upon a time…a man died. The man tried spinning stories after his death…but he couldn’t seem to get his stories to develop. The man grinned broadly…and called a duck into his story. The little duck tried her best for the prince…and eventually surpassed her role as a duck…developing an intricate love for the prince. However, as a mere duck…she was destined to disappear in a flash of light. Yes. That was the fate that had been decided for her in the story…the tearful conclusion.

 

Walking down the same old route,
Watch trees sway in the breeze,
Making a shower of blossom
Hear birds up above,
Defiantly singing their song
Feel the cool air on my face,
Smell the freshly mown grass,
Wind sweeps my hair back,
A shiver runs up my spine
Onto the roaring road I go,
Cars speed past,
Engines growl,
Brakes screech,
Horns belt out,
I pause, sigh, and wonder
What’s the rush?

 

What Is A Million?

The blades of grass growing
on your back lawn.
The people you've met
since the day you were born.

The age of a fossil
you found by the sea.
The years it would take you
to reach Octran Three.

The water drops needed
to fill the fish pool.
The words you have read
since you started school.

They're awesome, you're really talented. Mine aren't very good but I'll put them anyway:

Have you heard,
A little robin singing on the garden fence?
Have you felt,
A butterfly sitting on your hand?
Have you seen,
An elegant fox darting out of sight?
Have you tasted,
A delicate snowflake landing on your tongue?
Have you smelt,
The fresh grass swaying in the breeze?
Do you sense,
The beauty of the world around you?

 

Time's a bird, which leaves is footprints
At the corners of your eyes,
Time's a jockey, racing horses,
The sun and moon across the skies.
Time's a thief, stealing your beauty,
Leaving you with tears and sighs,
But you waste time trying to catch him,
Time's a bird and time just flies.

 

Um.. guys I can see you're having fun here but each of you should have seperate threads where you post your poems ^^ once you've transfered them over I can get rid of this thread.

Threads here have to follow certain guidlines, I'm afraid. Im quite open to ideas such as "Poetry Tennis" which has been done by members before, but this is just a group of you all posting your poems in the same thread.
