    That song matches me practically so much that it's nearly a crime. I think I found a great personal theme song next to Code Geass Chaos Unleashed.
    Gotta wonder a little about the background though, just since it somewhat doesn't match with the song. But considering I haven't done much with this at all, I'm not really one to have much say. It's epic all the same.

    Plus, if you do need someone to help with dialogue/story, I could help. Probably more story than dialogue

    Edit: haha, just listening to final boss right now, and I love that you picked that song as the final theme. You sir, have great taste.

    What about me makes me Amaury's final? Is it post-wise because I was ahead of him first, but he ended up passing me, like Red and Blue in 1st generation pokemon?

    Yeah, you're right about that one. While I was doing mechanics I wasn't thinking as much about the plot, and I ended up getting more theme ideas later and just forgetting to go back and add them in. But I'm gonna be putting a bunch more tracks into that masterpost that haven't shown up in this thread.

    If you read Sforz's character bios (which are deep in this thread but here's a link to the post; you two are the last two on that list), you'll see that it has you as Amaury's protege of sorts. He betrays you, you try to get payback. Plain and simple.

    I've got ideas if you'll let me rip off other fighting games.

    Yeah I read it....but why does that make ME the final for Amaury? Wouldn't it make more sense if it were the other way?

    The reasoning for characters fighting other characters as Arcade bosses isn't really explained, but in your case it's sort of a master-student duel to prove yourselves to Amaury. It's meant to be light-hearted, like Ghetto fighting Jiku. (Although in that one she is trying to steal his rapping powers but that's quite another matter.) It also signifies that Amaury is one of the people not to make it to the decisive battle and instead gets wrapped up in personal matters - if he loses.

    Incidentally this one's a little more obvious but the reason so many people fight Llave is because he kinda-sorta sides with the staff in that battle of loyalties so he's got dirt on everybody rofl

    Because in either storyline, you'd catch up to him and try to settle the score. Only difference between the two encounters is the outcome, and that all depends on who's being controlled by the player at that moment.

    In Amaury's timeline, you catch up to him and he defeats you to find Llave. In your timeline, you find him and defeat him on the spot, thereby ending your canon storyline.

    In my defense my thought process was around the lines of: "They'll be fighting, they need something a little fast paced." But yeah, it clashes with the background. Heh. ^^;

    Again, thank you. I thought it would go well for the final battle.

    There was that one and another. There're two main "groups" in this game so far, though none of the characters are necessarily allied with members of their "group." There are the Mainsiters, who I assume roam freely throughout the forum as a whole, and the Locklanders, who are likely frequenters of the Spam Zone (or are trapped there; we'll know more when Sforz finishes dat masterpost).

    EDIT: And before I haul myself off the internet, if anyone has ideas for their character's interactions, feel free to PM me. For example, if Llave's got ideas on how he'd bashinteract with Amaury, tell me so I can make a rough draft of your pre and post battle dialogue.

    I'm leaning towards stating in the masterpost that contributions are closed, because we already have people who've done or are working on all the vital components. But I'm not gonna say that unless we all agree on it so it's up to y'all. I can get really commandeering when it comes to creative projects like this and I don't want to start acting like I'm the lord of every house :x

    I would like to make a suggestion regarding the BGMs.

    I think that if a character is in their stage that their theme music should play. if they aren't in play and there characters who are from outside that stage then the stage's BGM should play, unless it is a rivalry match at which point the rivalry music plays instead. And I think that the Final Boss stage's BGM should play regardless of who is fighting in that stage.

    So In short: Rivalry BGM > House Character BGM > Stage BGM > Non House, Non Rivalry Character BGMs.

    @Sforz: We can always close the major parts of this. However, if someone can contribute sprites or something minor that can be incorporated into an existing branch of this, then why should we deny them that?

    Yeah, the thing is that most fighting games either have character BGMs or stage BGMs, but not both. If the former, one character's theme will always play, usually the "away" or 2P character; if the latter, themes will play on their respective stages. So it is kinda tricky combining them. I designed mine with the assumption that no other categories of music would exist, drawing inspiration from games with nothing but character themes.

    From what I've listened to so far, the stage BGMs kinda have the personalities of their related characters, so I was thinking maybe stage BGMs could be like "home turf" themes, where if one character is on their stage then the theme will play. In that case the order would be:

    Boss theme > Rivalry theme > Home turf theme > Character theme

    But in either case there's the problem of rarely hearing a character's theme, because so many things outprioritize it. @_@ SO MUCH MUSIC.

    Pre and Post battle events can rectify that. Winner/P1's theme will play before or after a battle, for the most part at least (if it's a pre-rival battle event, the rivalry theme should play).

    Yeah, that sounds good. And I just had a thought: BlazBlue made a very successful story mode in visual novel format, so we could use that style, and that'll present plenty of opportunities to hear character themes. Awesome \o/
