From what I've read it'd be better to get it for the 360. Poor PS3 players.

The PS3 port was handled very poorly, yeah. When it was released on the PS3, the game had extremely long loading times, but that was fixed with an update. It's on par with the 360 version now, with the graphics being the exception.

    That's subjective.
Remember all those awesome new IP's by Ninja Theory?
    Me neither.
Also Devil May Cry 3 remains my favourite action game to this day.
And playing an action game for the story is like playing a fighting game for the story.
For most people who play action games, story does not matter in the slightest when you have ****awesome gameplay. Hence the reason why God Hand remains my favourite video game ever and why people praise Super Mario 64

And then I stopped taking your post seriously.
Why do you feel the need to call me out on everything that I do all the time no matter what?
I never mocked or insulted or even spouted a profanity at anyone in this thread. It seems you simply don't like the way that I type, which is nobodies problem but your own.

If I've given you the impression that I have some sort of personal vendetta I'm carrying out toward you, than I'm sorry I've given you that impression. I didn't even know who you were until I checked your username history just now.

    >You make a thread
    >We respond with our opinions
    >You call out a group of people with similar opinions, which I'm part of
    >I respond

That's really all there is to it.

My point was, there a lot more good new IPs than there are sequels.

I really wish it was Platinum doing the DMC reboot instead of Ninja Theory.

Playing Bayonetta, so many times I was like "This is a better Devil May Cry 4 than Devil May Cry 4..."

New IP doesn't equal innovation though
There are tons of new IP's in First person shooters but most of them tend to fall under the "bald space marine" or cowadooty clone.
Bayonetta wasn't good because it was new IP. It was good because of the gameplay, it could have been a God of War game or Devil May cry for all I care but if it had the same gameplay I STILL would have been calling it one of the best action games ever.

Screw that, intellectual property should not exist.

If you are not payed willingly then you are not doing a good enough job of making people want to buy your product. I can understand if they steal a physical disc but you incur no losses when they "steal" an idea, and then you wish to incur losses on them?

Sure, piracy is a dick move, but punishing people because you made a demand for profit is even worse. This is exactly the kind of territory where innovation is important. Even the RIAA finally agrees that innovation is the most effective way to stop piracy, not treating it as thievery.

I buy my games when I can, and I do not appreciate being treated like a criminal. Controlling what I can do with my physical property because of someone else's intellectual vanity is unjustifiable. Imagine an e-book store, and then imagine an e-library. I should think that the e-library will be so much more used as to be the best site around, and be better for society than any e-bookstore will ever be.

The same applies to a physical library and a real book store. The difference is that with a real bookstore you are selling physical objects and not ideas which are fluid and are supposedly sold to only one user, so the real book can be traded or freely while the idea cannot. There is a lot of incentive for a developer to "own" an idea, but it is the same as the incentive to charge someone twice for one product. And you cannot justify either other than by making some law that lets you get away with them.

It is going to bug me whenever that term is used. Your lack of care need not be stated if it is present, and I know you hate to be challenged, but if you could use another term, I would appreciate it. In fact, changing the term used would reduce the risk of setting anyone's teeth on edge, not just mine.

    All of you, actually...

No, I know. It was about a third sarcastic. Like at the end of a sitcom episode where the traditionally belligerent character is just kinda gone and everybody misses him anyway because it's just too damn quiet.

    Wuv yoooo. <>

Also guys chill out. I get that a lot of effort went to waste, I get that not all sequels are bad. But you're trying too hard to win when I was just trying to find the silver lining. Yeesh.
