**** good ***** we demand great Order Dominoes and she take off all her clothes ***** you know how it goes, make the pizza man wait (Hol' up, hol' up!)
You peep Lupe's new album? also obligatory "J. Cole is weak" because see here: http://kh-vids.net/threads/pizza-man-dont-come-here-no-more.149371/#post-4238667
I saw J Cole live last year at Governor's Ball, and the dude sucked ass. He's terrible at performing live. But his last album was pretty damn solid, even though he's jocking hard off of a couple of artists right now (choosing minimalist beats like Drake did in NWTS, having juke and gospel-inspired beats ("Hello") like Chance does, long ass shoutout outro like Kanye did and making another obscure Anna Mae reference like Jay-Z did). Great album though. I haven't listened to Lupe's new album because I haven't sat down and listened to Food & Liquor 2, because LAZERS left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll probably get to both of them tonight.
If by last year you mean this summer I'm pretty sure CRASHprez was there somewhere at G Ball cause he was interning for Hot 97 lol but yeah he was clearly biting Drake a lot on the album and those turned out to be the best joints on there which is a testament to how Drake is killing it right now. The album was straight but I'm just not into Cole. The new Lupe album is actually nice though. Lasers was ass, FNL2 was straight but T&Y is really dope. Very dense piece of work though, he pulled out all the stops on this one. Lots of levels to this **** and concepts to dig into that make for many repeat listens but its cool. Been banging the last 4-5 tracks on it non-stop.[DOUBLEPOST=1421809024][/DOUBLEPOST] you not speaking my language b
Oh word? Damn, wish I knew. Probably coulda met up with him haha. And word. He doesn't even need to drop an album to stay relevant, just a few throwaway tracks haha. Drake is actually headlining Gov Ball this year, so hopefully that's gonna be good. I'm tight I missed Kanye two years ago, but I'm definitely not missing this. Sucks that all of Drake's thots are buying out the tickets before I even have the money for it. Hopefully I make that deadline though. I can understand that, though. He kinda went south after Friday Night Lights. He's a bit too derivative, also. And sweet, I'll have to check out T&Y. I already have it downloaded but haven't listened yet. Might pick up the vinyl of it if I like it. Do you think it tops The Cool? Because The Cool is one of my favorite albums of all times. If he happened to top that, then I'm gonna start bumping it right now haha.
Yeah Drake didn't even drop a proper project in 2014 but honestly I'd say 6 God and 0 to 100 were two of the best tracks of the year. If I was in NY I'd definitely go see him at Gov Ball. Also I'm happy I caught Ye on the Yeezus tour, that was amazing. And yeah, Cole being too derivative is a big reason whey I wasn't ****ing with that first album. And it just sounded forced. I think he's getting back into a more natural stride though with 2014 Forest Hills Drive. I think he'll keep getting better. And idk if I'd call it better than The Cool cause I haven't sat with it long enough but its sort of got a story too it like The Cool did and apparently it gives a different story if you listen to the tracks in reverse order. Haven't done that yet though but I definitely recommend listening to it when you get the chance.
Yeah, they were pretty decent. I thought Believe Me was better though. And word? What was your favorite song that he played? And cool. I'm listening to Lamborghini Angels right now, and I'm digging F&L2 so far. Wayne's Sorry 4 The Wait 2 just dropped. Have you heard it yet?
Drake caught a body on Believe Me, I forgot about that. And the whole show was great, Blood on The Leaves and All of The Lights were live as hell, but Coldest Winter was truly an experience. The front stage raises up at a 45 degree angle while he lays on the edge like its a cliff and fake snow falls while he sings, it was amazing. And I peeped the new Wayne tape. Most of the joints I was excited for (No Type, U Guessed It, Coco) he didn't really kill like I had hoped. No Type sounds like a suicide letter cause this dude opens with "I aint got no type but when I met codeine it was love at first sprite" like c'mon son that **** will kill you. But he killed Dreams and Nightmares and this joint called Selsun Blue. Also the song with Drake was pretty dope too. If you're a big Wayne fan you'll like it but I'm mostly indifferent about it as a whole.
Damn, really wish I was there to see that. Yeah, some tracks he goes ****ING OFF on, like Sh!t, Hot Nigga, HollyWeezy, Try Me (Mack Maine's verse was ****ing awesome too), Used To, etc. But then there are others where he's kinda just on cruise control. It's decent overall, but what it shows is that Wayne is still capable. But I'm almost certain that Tha Carter V is gonna suck though. And lol everybody says that him getting off of lean is what made him start to suck, so maybe that explains why the mixtape was better than usual?
I just thought of something. If you don't get a pizza man around anymore, doesn't that mean instead you get a Pizza Woman? Or is Casper the Pizza Ghost coming out of retirement?
I think he still has some moments but honestly if he retired I would not care at all. Most of the CV singles were decent and there's dope tracks on the tape but I'm cool on Lil Wayne and his contributions. Also if lean is what makes him rap well he really needs to retire cause I don't wanna see him go out like Pimp C.
