Pirates of the Carribean 4 "On Stranger Tides"

Seeing how to Rapture is the 20th, I'll be inthe movie theater eating popcorn. A good way to end the world, no?
I hope they bring some Orlando Bloom in at least. Or is his and life saga done in the story?

 

From my understanding, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly aren't in the movie at all. I mean, they pretty much summed up the rest of their story at the end of the third film. Elizabeth waits on an island and raises a child while Will's doing all the "lololol I'm Davey Jones" thing, and then they basically go at it once every 13 years. o.o

 

I thought it was just 10 years.

But while I was wary of Keira and Orlando not being in it I think its for the overall best. The last two movies were overcomplicated from them trying to tie in all three separate arcs. (Like in number two they all had different intentions)

 

I'm looking forward to it, but the one thing that annoys me is no Will or Elizabeth. The movies were that way because of those three, how can they just take them out? The one single thing that annoys me. In any case, I never get to see these movies when they come out, but once I get birthday money, I'm going to go see it.

 

Keira has been basically working with PotC since she was seventeen so I bet she got out so she won't be type-casted for the rest of her career (its a miracle she has not yet) and for Orlando I bet he wants to part ways with the series too. Johnny on the other hand basically loves the series to death and is very involved with it.

 

I wouldn't have known that since I don't look too much into movie information. I just go with what I get

I do agree it's for the best. If they wanted to, they could technically work in Orlando's character, but I recall hearing him say that he believed Will's story was over.

Anyway, planning to see this on Saturday. Looks great and Barbossa working for the Brits is an interesting twist...

After all, we know by now that he's not the most... committed pirate on the seven seas.

 

Who wants a bet that he was bribed into working in the navy?

 

It's not out of the question but in my opinion it's not likely...

Penelope Cruz. I mean SHE'S supposed to be Blackbeard's daughter? Disney needs to stop abusing its fans...

Penelope Cruz is hot and I would pick her over her sister and her dog if she had either one.

Being sexy to men doesn't make her a good actress.

 

I actually preferred her over Keira from the last two films.

The film itself, in my opinion, was better than the second and third PotC films. Not as good as the first, but still worth the watch. Loved the actors and characters, but I felt the story was weak, though it wasn't much of an issue since there was a good combination of action and humour. I'm actually glad Orlando and Keira weren't in it lol.

 

Fixed, unless you meant that Keira's acting went downhill from the first one...

I agree with you on many of those points Kitty. Also, the special effects were something worth watching.

 

I went to see this movie earlier today, Not as strong as the others in my opinion but, I left only slightly more confused then the last film.. :/

 

I like Keira in the first film, or rather I liked Elizabeth. She had an important role but it wasn't too focused on her. I felt in the sequels she had too much focus and she was too much of an action girl that just didn't suit.

 

I'll admit. I agree with you on that point. She was a main character but they didn't always need to have her in the middle of the action.

 

I enjoyed this movie. Jack Sparrow is awesome as always and hilarious. Penelope Cruz was interesting as well, not as annoying as Elizabeth :P

 

I have seen it already though the video was not that clear yet. I love the effects and the mermaid idea was really outrageous!
