"Here." Mark hands her the bottle.He looks at the sea.

 

she look a drink,then looked at the bottle"aw its almost empty..."she said sighing"oh wait...i think i got more in my room,in the bag..."

 

Mark takes one of her arms around him. "I'll help you go back."

 

"I'll be fine...i can still walk...im not tthat drunk"she said

 

"But you are drunk enough to kiss me? You need help."

 

"fine..."she said walking"and just because im drunk.dont mean i didnt want to kiss you you know...."

 

"Do you want to kiss me?"

 

she nodded

 

"If only you weren't drunk."

 

"yeah i would still kiss you."she said opening the door

 

"Then why did you slap me?"

 

"I was in shock.."she said going into he bag"here it is..."she said pulling out another bottle

 

"You are going to have to drink all of that yourself. I have to be sober or we will do something stupid."

 

"like what?"Lyra said taking a swig"come on....no ones gonna care....or are you gonna be a party pooper?"she said making a sad face

 

"I am only going this far." he kissed her again.

 

she kissed him back

 

"Follow me." Mark said. He walked to where there was a coil of rope.

 

she followed,tucking the bottle into her pocket

 

Mark picks up one end of the rope and ties it arould Lyra's waist. He pulls the bottle out of her pocket. "This is the fstes way to see if you are telling me the truth." Mark took Lyra to one side of the boat. Then he pushed her in.
