"well i havent..."Lyra said"your not a normal pirate are you...normaly...they're always drinking rum....and food...let me think...we'll be in the ocean...surround by fish...what do you think?"lyra said

 

"We will die if all we eat is fish. So far, all of my men are completly healthy. We take only what we need. Sure, they want more. But they don't want to start a mutiny."

 

"we will not die..."Lyra said"if the fish i fine...we're fine..or you could get money and buy some..."

 

"If all we eat is fish, we ctch scurvy. We need fruits, vegtables, and anyway we actually pay for most of our food. So are you in or not?"

 

"sure...why not...if it gets me off this god forsaken spit of land..."
